"Thank you, Jade!" I said as Nino and I climbed out of her car and out into the chilly night.
"Have fun!" she smiled as she waved at us.
We watched Jade drive off before turning towards the venue, making our way towards the front of it. Nino saw the sign for VIP and grabbed my arm, leading me towards it. We had the advantage of skipping the line and going in first. It also meant we got to the merch table first and we also got barricade.
"I'm so excited," Nino said for the millionth time as we waited for the security to scan the tickets on our phones.
"Same, what do you think the setlist will be?" I asked curiously.
Nino shrugged, "I'm happy for anything, Im just glad we're here!"
I nodded in agreement. We made it the security guards who scanned our tickets and wrapped our VIP bracelets around our wrists. We thanked them and entered the doors of the venue. I watched as Nino spun around happily, a huge smile on her lips.
"Merch table!" she pointed excitedly, gesturing for us to go to it.
I followed happily as I watched her eyes light up at the merch available, a huge selection of t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and various other items. We ended up picking a couple of t-shirts each and Nino grabbed a few patches for her collection. After that, we finally made our way towards the actual stage. We were front barricade and now we were just waiting for everyone else to come in. There were no opening acts so Nino and I made small talk as we waited.
😇
About an hour later, the venue doors officially closed and everyone made their way in. The band was scheduled to come out any time soon. Nino was on the edge as she waited for them to arrive, glancing at me every now and then nervously. Suddenly the lights went out and the crowd erupted into cheers.
Nino and I began to scream loudly as the opening chords of "King For A Day" began to ring throughout the entire venue. Jaime ran out on stage, full of energy as he spun his bass around.
"Holy shit!" Nino said in amazement.
Their touring drummer was fiercely tapping against his cymbals, building up the intro of the song. Nino screamed like crazy as soon as Tony stepped out onto the stage, a grin on his face as he looked over at Jaime. Lastly, Vic walked onto stage, a microphone held in his hands as he began to belt out the opening lyrics.
"Dare me to jump off of this Jersey bridge!" he screamed, the entire crowd singing it with him as well.
Nino and I screamed along, jumping up and down. The show was full of so much energy as the lights flickered, the banner with their logo waving as big fans blew on it.
"Gabi! Tony just looked at me!" Nino squealed, turning towards me with wide eyes.
I shouted happily at her in amusement before she turned around, continuing to sing along.
😇
The set was already half way finished. They were playing "Floral and Fading" but an acoustic version instead. The concert lights were turned to red as Vic and Tony sat on chairs on the stage, an acoustic guitar held in Tony's hand.
Vic began the song, the singing of the crowd mixing in perfectly. I noticed that Tony kept looking over at Nino, the both of them making constant eye contact specifically during this song. Throughout the entire show, they've been looking at each other like crazy. Tony even pointed and smiled at her a few time. Nino freaked out, screaming at me every-time he did.
😇
"Thank you all for coming out! We're Pierce the Veil and we hope to see you again some time soon!" Vic said before throwing his guitar pick into the crowd, walking off the stage with Jaime.
