Chapter 12

Yuzu and Alissa were outside the hospital room where Mei was getting operated on. Alissa had called Ume and told her everything that happened and Ume told her that she would find out a way to get there since she was almost done with her business trip.
Houres had passed and no one doctor came out.
"A-aunt...do you think t-that Mei is gone *sniff*? B-because it's been long since they begone the surgery." Yuzu said in a cracked voice while staring at the ground and her phone in her hand checking the time every second.
Alissa turned her head and looked at her softly then grabbed Yuzu's hand,
"Dear, believe in her. She would never leave us, especially not in this way *sniff* M-mei is strong a-and she won't leave us behind." Alissa had tears rolling down her cheeks but tried to hold it in to help Yuzu get stronger.
Yuzu began to cry at the idea of Mei being gone and hugged Alissa tightly.

Two hours later a doctor came out of the surgery room with a sad but also happy face.
"D-doctor! H-how is Mei. She made it r-right?" Yuzu asked the moment she saw the doctor come out of the room.
He looked at Yuzu softly and then at Alissa.
"You must be her girlfriend I guess? and you are her mother right?" He asked and both of them nodded their head.

"I see, well there are two news I have to tell you guys and I don't know if you would be happy to hear them" He took a deep breath and continued, "The patient made it out of the danger phase and is now breathing normally, so everything is good with the patient. But she is in a coma and no one knows how long it would take for her to wake up again."
Yuzu's eyes lit up at the news.
"S-so Mei is safe? Oh goodness *sob* I am so happy *sob* A-aunt! Mei made it! I-I..." Yuzu ran into the room and hugged Mei's sleeping body and sobbed.
Meanwhile, Alissa stood there with happy tears rolling down her cheeks.
The doctor was a bit confused and thought that they didn't hear the part of her being in a coma.
"U-uhm miss? I don't know if you heard me right but the patient is in a coma and no one knows when she will wake up."
Yuzu looked behind her when she heard the doctor talk.
"I know doctor *sniff* I don't care about that. What's important is t-that she *sniff* is safe and I will take care of her." Yuzu said as she kissed Mei's hand.
"You know you don't need to dear. The nurses will take care of her." Alissa said and the doctor agreed with her.
Yuzu looked at both of them and gave a glare.
"I don't want her private places to be seen by other people than me. And I WILL take care of her. May I ask where the owner of this hospital is, doctor?" The doctor nodded nervously and showed Yuzu the way.
Alissa looked worriedly at her daughter when Yuzu left and walked up to her holding her hand and sopping softly,
"M-mei, I am so sorry for not saving you from your grandfather *sob* You are a lucky girl to have Yuzu *sniff*" Alissa smiled sadly then looked around her when she heard footsteps and ran to the figure.
"There, there. I am here right now Alissa, everything is going to be alright" Said the person as it hugged her gently stroking Alissa's hair.
"U-ume, *sob* t-thank you for being my best friend and there for me *sob*"

Yuzu, on the other hand, had asked permission to buy a private room in the hospital where she can stay in with Mei until Mei wakes up and the owner had no problems at all since he knew the Aihara family.
So Yuzu went back to Alissa and was surprised to see her mother there.
"M-Mom.." Ume hurried to her and hugged her tightly.
"I am so happy to see you, Bub. You doing alright?"
"Y-yeah"
Yuzu then remembered what she had just done and asked Alissa and Ume to come with her to the hallway to talk.
"S-so mom, aunty, I just got permission to buy a private room here in this hospital and take care of Mei. The nurses and doctors will come every day to check on her then. " Yuzu said as she nervously scratched her head since she was scared at their reaction but was surprised to see both their face lit up. 
"T-hat is good to hear dear. So since it's almost your birthday and you will then turn 18 years how about me and your mother buy you the room and it will be all yours then. You can leave there together with Mei until she wakes up."
"O my god r-really?! God, I love both of you" Yuzu hugged them both and kissed Ume on the cheek.

Ume and Alissa had already left and tried to bring Yuzu home with them but Yuzu refused and forced the doctor to let her stay at Mei whenever she wanted. Every time a nurse came to check on Mei Yuzu would glare at them and she wouldn't let them change her clothes since she had a big bulge under.

Time had passed and was already night. Yuzu was only staring at Mei, the doctors found it adorable so they offered her food and drinks just to make sure she won't faint. 
They also offered a bed but Yuzu refused it and slept next to Mei holding her tightly before drifting in sleep.
