Chapter 13

It has been 5 years since that incident had happened. Yuzu is now 22 years old and has her own "apartment" (that room she got as a birthday gift) in the hospital where Mei also is staying at.
Yuzu has hired a doctor to check on Mei so that she wouldn't get annoyed at every nurse that would come and check on her girlfriend.
Yuzu is now studying architecture and is getting online lessons so she can get an eye on Mei, she goes once a week to University to study there only to make sure that she is getting the information right.

"Kai! Make sure you check on Mei every two hours. I need to hurry to the University before I am late and the professor would scold me." Yuzu said as she hurriedly packed her things in her bag and kissed Mei on the cheek before heading out.

Kai is the doctor that Yuzu has hired, he was friends with her father when they were young. That is why she trusts him.

After Yuzu left he chuckled softly to himself and found Yuzu a really caring girlfriend to Mei, "Well Mei, You must be lucky to have such a loving girlfriend at your side." He said with a smile as he checked if everything was good with her. After that, he looked around the room and frowned at the mess that Yuzu had left, so as a good friend he cleaned her room and checked on Mei one more time before leaving.

As Yuzu got on the train she saw a very familiar face and couldn't help the smile on her lips, "H-harumin?!" Harumin looked shocked when she heard a familiar voice and looked up.

"Y-Yuzuchi? Oh my god, I missed you!" Harumin got up and ran to Yuzu as she hugged her tightly and teared up a bit. "I am so, so sorry Yuzuchi for not being there with you when you had to deal with the prez *sob*"

Yuzu pulled away from the hug and grinned at Harumin, "I don't blame you, really. I mean come on, she bullied me and you were trying to help me out with it and I just got angry because you didn't know the reasons why I still wanted to be with her."

"I really am sorry, I didn't know where you were nor had your number. Last week I pumped with your mother and she told me everything."

"Harumin, don't worry about it. I forgave you years ago so don't worry about it. Now if I may ask you, where are you going to?"

"I am on my way to Tokyo University, I am studying in the Architecture world- Uhm, Yuzuchi? You alright?" Harumin asked nervously.

Yuzu blinked and looked at her, "No way! Me too! I go there once a week and we are doing the same study. Is your professor an old guy whit white hair, an ugly beard and wears glasses?"

"Oh my god, so we are in the same room! Well then, that means we get to see each other at least once a week. Isn't that awesome?" Yuzu happily nodded and they talked about what they were doing the past years on their way to the university. After that, they walked to the university.

Kai is now checking on Mei for the fourth time but this time something was odd about Mei, she wasn't laying in the same position which he was really happy about, he stayed there for an hour just checking if what he was thinking was right. To his surprise, Mei moved her hand to her eyes trying to adjust the light in the room. 

"mmgh... w-where am I?" She asked as she looked around her and was confused when she saw in was an apartment of someone. Then she looked in front of her and saw a doctor smiling at her, but that made her even more confused. "W-who are you? And whose apartment is this? Why am I here?" 

Kai smiled softly at her and answered all her questions. "If you look around you, you can see that someone lives here. I am doctor Kai and have been taking care of you since someone asked me to. You follow?" Mei slowly nodded her head still unsure about what is happening. "Alright, before I answer why you are here and who here lives you have to answer some questions alright? Okay, so may I know your name, last name, how old you are, and what the last thing you remember is?"

Mei looked at him for a second before thinking, "Uhm, I am Mei A-Aihara? something like that I don't remember. But I am 17 years old and the last thing I remember is bullying someone who exposed my secret and then sleeping and now I am here. I don't understand anything, I am confused."

Kai looked at her and wrote down everything she said so he can study it later, "Well part of it is right of what you said. You are indeed Mei Aihara, you are now 22 years old and what you last remember was 5 years ago. You have the right to be confused because you don't remember much. You want to know why you are here?" He asked and Mei silently nodded. "Well, let us start with what I heard the reason for you being here was. You are here because 5 years ago when you were 17 your so named husband to be shot you near the heart, I don't know the reason but let's wait for it later. You still follow right."

Mei nodded and asked him something, "So that means I have been in a coma for 5 years right?"

Kai nodded and continued, "That is right, so you got shot near the heart and there was a nice lady that found you on the ground almost dead and called the ambulance right in time. You are lucky that she found you on time, or else you were already dead. After that, you got surgery and it was successful. But after the surgery, you got in a coma for 5 years now."

Mei understood everything now, she lost a bit of her memory and has been in a come for 5 years. But where, is she? "Thank you for telling me the story, I understand everything now. But whose place is this?" 

Kai smiled lovingly at her and answered her, "Well this place is a room in the hospital that a person had bought, the person cares a lot about you and she is on her way here from the university"

Mei was confused, "H-her? Who is she?" 

"You know her Mei, her name is- *ring* *ring*" He grabbed his phone and his smile only grew and whispered to Mei before answering the phone, "It is her" Mei looked puzzled and before she knew it he handed her the phone, "Here talk to her"

Mei grabbed the phone and nervously and said, "H-hey?" 

Yuzu on the other hand was done with her lesson and was on her way to the apartment with Harumin but needed to check if Mei was alright so she called Kai, "Hi Kai! is Mei alright?" 

Kai: "She sure is, and oh I have a surprise for you just wait"

Yuzu was a little taken away at his reaction and was hoping that what she thought was really happening. She heard some Kai say something and then her heart stopped at the sound, "H-Hey?" She couldn't believe it, was this real? "Are you still there?" The person asked and Yuzu was brought back to reality "U-uhm, h-hi... I missed you"
