Chapter 8 - The Breeze Blows

I really really owe Saiken. Just one story about his wife really cheered me up. We were able to swiftly and effectively deal with many, many hilichurl camp. Of course there will always be hilichurls around no matter how many camps you destroy- it'll really slow them down.

So not only we were the fastest group to finish our given task- we also decimated some slimes along the way and lowered the slime count. By the time the Wind Festival arrives the monsters won't have enough time to muster up their numbers.

Oh shoot- I got a bit distracted ohh I hope I didn't over cook the steak. If it's medium well then.. I guess it'll be okay. The other cut of steak is definitely medium rare so I'll give that piece to Lumine. I'll have this streak I probably messed up.

Oh well.

I can manage!

Phew.. almost done with the cooking as well. Potato salad, steak, garlic bread.. yeah sounds about right. Now I just have to make apple pie and by the time we are finished eating the pie should be ready I hope.

When is she going to be done with her work? I'm getting a little bit worried now. There's no way Lumine is going to take this long on destroying hilichurls right? To be fair.. Lumine is going to Wolvendom which means that she's near the border of Liyue.

With Eula along they will probably be very thorough and decimate any camp they see.. which is why it's taking a while for Lumine to get back home. I hope the two are safe and getting along well.

Please come home soon, Lumine.. ohh I can't stop worrying over her. Today was just.. too much! We suddenly kiss, separated to do our given mission, I was upset that me and Lumine were separated, Saiken cheers me up with a story, very good mood, prepared dinner, and now I'm extremely anxious.

"BOO!"

"Kyaaa!!" I instantly jump up and squeeze my arms together, squishing my own body a bit and my legs are closed in together.

Lumine laughs and gently pats on my shoulder which eases my body a bit and I'm less tense. She jump scared me to the point that my body just curled up. My heart rate spiked and I can even hear myself breathing.

"Ahem, honnneeyyy I'm home." Lumine hugs me and apologizes for scaring me, but she tries to cheer me up with hugs and kisses. I forgive her ;)

"Are you trying to kill me? Oh my god.. my heart rate is just- ohh jeez. I'm fine now I guess.."

"I couldn't resist Amber. That kyaaaa was sooo cute you know? You waited long?

"Yes! Ugh you took forever Lumine. I was worried sick! It's not like I doubt you and your skills or anything.. I just.. ohh I don't know. I felt extremely anxious after cooking dinner."

"Sorry Amber. You made dinner for us and I made you anxious. I even scared you ohh I'm sorry- kinda- ahem. I'll make it up to you, okay? Hmm.. how about we kiss passionately on the lips??"

"Seriously..?"

"Uhh.." Lumine is really thinking hard about this. "I'll build a planter thing.. and grow some mangoes."

"You don't seem impressed Amber. Let me think for a moment." Lumine taps her foot the kitchen floor and tries to come up with something. Should I help her? "Hmmm.."

..

No. I'll let Lumine do all of the thinking.

It's kinda funny to see Lumine be serious about something. She's really trying hard to do something good and I love every bit of it.
