Chapter 16 Saiken vs Amber

Day 50

"Are you ready, Amber?" Saiken unsheathes his sword and sucker punches me a second into our spar.

"I wasn't ready!" His punch was strong enough to knock me down plus it was a sucker punch! He asked if I was ready and I wasn't! That is so unfair and dirty.

Well.. a fight to the death can't be fair and honourable I guess. The way Saiken views it is either to kill or die. To beat him I have to join him. I don't know if my tricks will work on him.

For now I'll just engage in close combat! I learnt a lot from Liliha- like way too much. Mirai and Ingra even came to help me as well for a brief moment. It was to prepare me for this very moment. I worked hard to defeat Liliha and I was finally able to out strength her.

Saiken is the last one to stand in my way. My goal is to crush the pirate army, kill Mao Song and save Lumine.

I'm almost there!

Saiken swings his anemo infused sword right down the middle and a large wind blade tears through the ground, ripping through the air and heading straight for me.

I'm faster than that! I simple flick my body to the side and dash through to close the gap between me and Saiken. I cloak my punch with concentrated flames and Saiken uses his Geo infused scabbard to block my explosive attack.

My punches can pierce through steel. So my punch was able to break through his scabbard and I smashed it to tiny pieces. Saiken tries to go for my neck with his anemo sword, but I catch it with my barehands and crush his blade.

I destroyed Saiken's katana and now he resorts to using his firearms. He unloads twelve shots at me, but I manifest my pyro sword and cut each and every lead shot. It can't be this easy no way! Saiken is definitely planning something-

"Infusing your pyro vision is a good idea, Amber, but I did it first." Saiken karate chops my hips and a blast of wind sends me crashing through a building.

Saiken decided that New York city would be a good place as an arena. It'll test my abilities to use my surroundings and test my awareness to the upmost limits.

Yeah, I forgot that Saiken was the first to use body enhanced elemental infusion like how he used anemo slimes to give him super speed during the Wind Festival.

The thing is.. Saiken can use all five elements for any elemental infusion! I'm limited to pyro, but his downside is that he's limited to a number of slimes he has on him. I am not limited at all and I can just spam many pyro attacks until I kick the bucket.

I dust myself off of any debris and get right back into the battle, but I don't see him anywhere. This city is a bad idea for an arena! There's just so many places to hide and the entire environment is dangerous.

I smell gunpowder.. I noticed that my five senses have been enhanced during my training. Especially with Ingra's domain- my hearing and smell is really good for some reason. I could hear the ice forming and it's like a shrieking sound every time Ingra attacks me with her ice magic.

I could even smell the alcohol on Ingra during our fight so I could easily pin point her position. Right now I can smell gunpowder buried in the ground and if I know Saiken right, he probably placed trapped some areas with bombs. The dollar store land mines.

Saiken has to manually detonate the buried bombs or I activate it by stepping on the wrong area. I'll just drop an active baron bunny and run away! My little bomb explodes and causes a chain reaction, the buried bombs also explodes and I foil Saiken's plans!

Still.. he's no where to be seen-

..

"Ah- you spotted me!" Saiken was hiding in a trash can.. "You were able to detect my buried bombs. I'm greatly impressed Amber." Saiken gets out of the trash can, but he ends up falling with the trash can and rolls away.
