Chapter 15 - Mirai & Liliha

Day 25

Mirai's domain has many trials I have to go through. In total there are four trials and so far I've completed three of them.

The first trial was speed. In short I had to out speed someone who can essentially teleport.

The second trial was to be fast enough to evade Mirai's attack. She's able to defy physics due to her unique magic. Basically she's able to swap herself with an object. So I was constantly on guard, but I was able to keep up and evade all of her attacks.

No matter how fast and close she was- My reaction speed and body movement speed is polished according to Mirai.

The third trial was something new and tested my quick draw speed. She basically further improve my marksman ship and taught me how to use a bow in a different way. Usually I have to do a charge shot to infuse the arrow with my pyro vision, but now I'm much faster.

I can shoot arrows like a gatling gun and all of those arrows will have the pyro infusion, dealing much more damage and it's explosive as well. It's not just a fire ball- it's literally a super charged flaming arrow capable of blowing limbs off! It's hot enough to scorch anything it touches too.

So Mirai not only further developed my speed, but honed my skills with the bow and my vision.

The last trial.. is to land an attack without using my bow. My bow is a tool to channel my visions and without it I can't really use my own vision. A weapon is a focal point for visions so it makes elemental infusion a lot easier. Without my bow I have to free hand and shape my pyro vision.

So against Ingra I was able to do it. I made this pyro lance thing and attacked her. It kept shape compared to the lances I've been making right now. So far I counted around hundred of spears and every single spear was either shattered or broke down apart.

I have no idea how I was able to pass Ingra's domain. My pyro spear got through to her clearly and there was no problems. My pyro lances right now are breaking down upon impact!

"Hey, Amber, you alright?" Saiken taps on my shoulder and immediately I try to defeat him by thrusting a pyro lance into his stomach, but the thing broke down again. Surprise surprise. "Uncool.. you were about to hurt me."

"I want to win."

"You're not ready yet, Amber. Besides.. I noticed that you struggle a lot without your bow. You can hardly manifest your pyro vision."

"What am I doing wrong Saiken?!"

"Why are you asking me that? Amber, I don't have a vision and I don't know how they work. Mirai hardly knows how your visions work, but she's training you to use them to it's full potential. I mean- you were able to create a spear of heat and stab Ingra with it. Think about it! If you can't fight Mao Song long range then you have these close range pryo vision abilities. Creating a weapon out of thin air! If you can somehow be creative with it and can actually manifest a pyro vision attack.. well you get the idea."

I can possibly beat Mao Song in close combat. His immense strength won't be able to stop my blazing attacks. It'll melt though his whatever armour he has and burn his internal organs. Essentially I'm basing my attacks off of a laser cutter.

Punching Mirai won't work, she's too fast and strong. I just need to be creative and think of new ways to attack her using my pyro vision. If a pyro spear won't work then how about.. Throwing knives?

Saiken returns back to the spectating area and I have my brawl with Mirai. I throw myself back into the fight and blitz through like a lightning bolt.

Mirai swaps herself with a random object on the ground far away to teleport away from me. I shift gears basically and make a sharp left turn. My ankles are resistant to this kind of abuse and whiplash so I was able to recover quick and flash to Mirai again.
