Chapter 6: A New Member?

Hello friends, I'm back! I just want to give you some information before we get started. This chapter takes place 2 years after the previous chapter. Nightwing has made a name for himself as his own hero and is really popular in the media. Tim remained on the team after Nightwing left and did get with Cassy. Nightwing has stayed in touch with the league, og team, he and Connor made up a bit thanks to Megan, and Batfam. Kalder also hasn't joined the League yet. Also Batman is leading the JL (cause I'm too lazy to find who was actually leading after season 2)

{3rd Person @ the watchtower}

"Is this everyone?" Batman said walking into the room of hero's.

"Yes, we are ready." Wonder Woman gestured for everyone to take their seats.

"Good." Batman said, walking to the center of the arch-like table. "Let's begin, as you all know, every other year we vote on any hero's we believe deserve to be in our ranks. These hero's could be solo or members from the team. Who would like to present their choice first." Batman looked around the room.

"I'll go." Green Arrow said, "I know I'm going to be stealing a few peoples' nominations, but we all know he has proven himself, has been proving himself since day 1." He swiped up on his holoscreen. "I nominate Nightwing for membership of the League." With that, a 3D render of the black and blue hero was being shown to the entire league. Majority of the league nodded in agreement.

"Are we sure he's ready? We don't even know if he will want on the team or want anything to do with us." The Atom brought the question up. "I mean he doesn't have a long history being solo."

"Yet he has been a hero longer than most of the league's current members. Nightwing has already earned all of our trust, and my respect." Wonder Woman said a little annoyed at the attack of her nephew (yes ik he's not her nephew, in my cannon she was really involved in all the batkids childhoods).

"He is experienced in heroism, team skills, and leading. He's also been extremely popular with the press recently. Adding him would be beneficial to the league." Superman added.

"What about you Batman, he was your apprentice and partner. Is he ready?" Martian Manhunter asked the Bat. Batman was staring ahead with his head resting on his hands. He leaned up and faced the league.

"Skillswise Nightwing is the best candidate anyone could suggest." He said looking at the render of his first son.

"I feel a but coming." Black Canary said, leaning forwards.

Batman took a breath. Yeah, he knew Dick was ready for the league, but was he ready to see his little boy in the league. He didn't know if Dick was ready for another responsibility. He didn't know if Dick was ready to face the team again.

"I don't know if he'll accept, he's been doing good work in Bludhaven and I don't know if he's ready for another responsibility." Batman said to the league.

"Bruce, you know this as well as we do. He's ready." Wonder Woman said standing up. "We will now vote on the potential membership of Nightwing. All for his membership say 'I'."

All the members rose "I"

"It's decided, membership ship will be offered to Nightwing. Batman I trust you can inform him." Wonder Woman said, looking at the man in black.

"Yes," the bat said, "Let's continue. Who has another nomination?" He said while typing directions to move the render of Nightwing to the side.
