He's Back! But as our Den Mother?

Chapter 9: Congratulations...I Guess

{Robin POV @ Watchtower} {before induction ceremony}

The team had been ordered to wait in the WatchTower till the party for the newest members. We weren't even allowed to watch the ceremony! So all we could do was wait to meet the newest addition to the league. I just can't wait to see everyone's faces when they see Dick come back. One of the wonders of being in the Batfam is I get to know the additions before the rest of the team do. The league decided that each hero who is inducted should get to introduce themselves to us, so we are all left in the dark. So only the league, senior members of the team, and those of us with excellent hacking skills know who the 5 new members are.

"So who do you guys think is getting recruited?" Cass said, sitting down next to me.

"Given that Kaldur isn't here, I think he's definitely moving up." Jaime pointed out. He was responded to by collective nods. Everyone was giving their guesses and everyone was arguing about how they could or couldn't be in the league. So far no one has gotten one right except for Kaldur.

"I think Arm-Fall-Off Boy would make a great addition to the league." Bart said joking, speeding into the room. Everyone stared at him.

"Who?" Artemis chimed into the conversation for the first time, "No way that's a real hero." She chuckled a bit.

"Hey! Don't diss Arm-Fall-Off Boy, and yeah he's 100% real!" Bart practically screamed across the room.

"Yeah right Bart. No way that's a real guy." Jaime elbowed him jokingly.

"Actually Arm-Fall-Off Boy is a real hero. Batman has a file on him back at the Batcave." I answered without looking up from my Hologlove. (Arm-Fall-Off Boy is an actual DC character that I've come across had had to add him)

"No fucking way! He's real! Oh my god that has made my day." Wally busted out laughing. The room broke into laughter. The guessing game continued on for around 5 more minutes when Bart glared at me.

"Hey Rob?" He said, running over and leaning on the back of the couch. "You've been rather quiet. Could you be hiding something?" He started poking at my head. I slapped his hand away and stared at him.

"Now where would the fun be in spoiling it for everyone." I said, giving him a smirk. Cass spun her head around and looked at me.

"Wait, how do you know who the new members are?" She shouted into my ear, gaining the attention of the entire team on me. They all waited for my answer.

"I hacked the WatchTower." I said smiling, looking back down at my hologlove.

"Typical Batkid." Connor said, shaking his head a bit. The rest of the OG team giggled and face palmed a bit.

"How did you hack the WatchTower? Isn't it supposed to be one of the most secure places?" Virgil asked, confused. I guess he's still not used to all the crazy shit we get into yet. Being a newbie on the team is always an adventure, but I think he'll do fine.

"Same system as the Batcave." I shrugged. Like do these people not realize how easy it is to hack into the system. It's designed to look more complicated than it actually is. I mean if Jason could hack into it then literally a toddler could. The team continued pestering me to try and get the information out of me when Red Tornado entered the room.

"Greeting team, I have been sent to inform you of the arrival of the New Members of the Justice League." he said pointing out of the door.

"Thanks Red!" Megan said, standing up and exiting the room. "Come on everyone!" We all followed her out of the room and towards the main room of the WatchTower.
