THE WARM BREEZE HITS YOUR face as you walked out of the matsuoka residence, hand in hand with rin.
"oh stay safe you two! call once you get to australia!" rin's mother called as she hugged you both tight. you put the bags in the trunk of the cab as rin was trying to comfort his mother.
"we'll be back soon, mom. don't cry" he soothed his mother as gou also tried not to cry.
"s-send us s-some souvenirs or something" gou's bottom lip trembled as she tried to playfully punch his brother.
"we will, now don't start crying too" you soothed her this time, letting her hug you once more before leaving.
rin and you were going to australia as he and you continued your studies there and someone will be coaching him to guide him at the international stage of swimming.
you on the other hand, got a scholarship from an australian school nearby rin's since you were recognized with your volleyball skills and with some connections with your cousins at the country.
you never thought of going pro on the sport but hey, here you were, going to another country because of it.
sousuke and the others called the day before, congratulating you both from your achievements and saying that they'll miss you both. the call lasted long that you barely had sleep for today but what's new.
"good luck you two, stay safe" rin's mother finally bid you two goodbye as you both got into the cab, waving to them before it took off.
"can we make a stop before we go to the airport?" he asked you.
"of course we can" you smiled at him as he took your hands in his, kissing your knuckles lovingly.
the ride stopped at the nearby cementery, where rin's father was burried. you followed him around and finally came to a stop on the gravestone that had the matsuoka family name engraved to it.
"hey dad, were leaving the country now" he smiled sadly, crouching down as you did the same.
"remember [y/n]? you used to tease me a lot about him. now look at this, we're married! no i'm kidding but, maybe someday" he chuckled as you blushed.
"i'll make sure he doesn't do anything stupid, matsuoka-san. also, feel free to haunt him if he did something without me knowing" you laughed along as rin whined.
"well, we'll be back soon, please guide us and keep us safe" he clasped his hands in prayer and you followed.
you both got out of the cementery and ventured back to the cab.
rin was staring at you, mentally thanking the gods above for giving him the most wonderful man he could ever be with.
"you ready, rinnie?" you chuckled, getting him out of his dazed state.
"as long as you're here, [n/n]"
