Chapter Six: Confessions

As we continued to walk home we teased Kaleb about liking Alyssa.

"You walked her to all her classes and don't have any with her, but you don't like her?" Noah questioned.

"He's got you there dude. So stop denying it, there's nothing wrong with liking her." Alex said defending Noah.

"I don't understand why it matters so much to guys whether I like her or not." Kaleb replies starting to get irritated.

"It's matters because it's close to the end of our Senior year and not once have you talked about liking a girl. I was starting to think you went left. If you know what I mean." Noah says winking.

Woah did not see that coming.

"Really!!!" Kaleb yelled at Noah slapping him in the back of the head.

I was starting to get impatient that Kaleb wouldn't admit that he liked Alyssa because it's so obvious. They would look so cute together, I want to see them together.

"Would you please admit that you like her already so we can get you guys together." I say getting impatient.

"Fine!! I like her! Geezz!!" Kaleb says clearly annoyed.

"Now was that so hard to admit?" Alex ask laughing.

"Shut up man. Are you guys done now?" Kaleb asked.

"Not just yet." I say smiling.

"What now?" Kaleb says smiling trying to pretend he's frustrated.

"When are you going to ask her out on a date?" I ask excitedly.

"I'm going to ask her when I know that she feels the same way." Kaleb answered.

" I could talk to her of you want." I offered.

Kaleb stopped walking and turned to face me.

"Could you? Please?" he asked desperately.

"Of course! I'd love too!" I said happily.

Kaleb ran and hugged me really tight. We literally almost fell over. Immediately hugged back trying to regain my balance.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you." he says while hugging me.

"No problem." I say with a smile.

We pull away from the hug and see Noah shaking he's head laughing. I looked over at Alex and he just had he's head down frowning.

We continued to walking home until we got to the corner where we split up. We said our goodbyes and I thanked Kaleb and Noah for helping me out today and then me and Alex walked off.

~•A l e x ' s P O V•~

Seeing Kaleb hug Dillon like that made me upset for some reason. I'm not jealous or anything. I just............... I don't know. I think I'm just tired.

While me and Dillon were walking there was an awkward silence between us. So I tried making conversation.

"So how did you like your first day?" I asked

"It was great everyone there was nice except those girls from lunch." she replied.

"I'm glad you liked it. Those girls are always like that I try and do my best to ignore them." I said

"Why are they so mean to you guys?" she asked.

"Umm.... I don't know why they bully Katie, Gage, and, Alyssa." I answered truthfully. "But Hannah has been bitter towards me ever since I broke up with her." I said mumbling the last part.

"I'm sorry I didn't hear the last part of what you said?" she says looking at me.

"I said she has been bitter towards me ever since I broke up with her" I said looking her in the eyes then down at the ground."

Dillon stopped dead in her tracks.

" You what!?! You dated that bully!?! What the heck is wrong with you!?!" she yelled, laughing.

"She wasn't always that way. When we dated she was a sweet girl" I answered thinking about how Hannah was before she was a bully.

"Then why did you break up with her?" she asked as we approached her house.

"Well it looks like I'll have to answer that another time." I said pointing towards her house.

Dillon shakes her head agreeing. We continued to walk up the sidewalk leading to her house and stopped once we reached the front door. We stood there for a few seconds just looking at each other. Until Dillon broke the silence.

"Thanks for everything Alex. I don't know what I would do without you." Dillon says with a big smile.

"No problem. It's been great having you around." I say smiling.

We fell into silence again just staring at each other but this time it wasn't an awkward silence. It was a comfortable silence. After a minute of staring I broke the silence.

"Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow morning?" I said hoping she still wanted to walk to school with me.

"Yeah, of course." she replied "I'll see you tomorrow. Bye." she said turning around.

Before she could reach for the doorknob I grabbed her wrist, turning back around the pulled her into a hug. She was shocked at first then immediately hugged.
"Bye" I whispered in her ear then kissed her cheek. I pulled away and turned around walking to my house next door with a big smile on my face.

I thought to myself.

Why did I just do that? And why didn't I regret doing it?

Sorry it's been forever since I updated so I going to update again. I hope you enjoyed the chapter even tho it's short. I know things are kinda moving slow so I'll pick up the pace.
