Chapter Eight: Meeting Zach Clayton

After me and Alex held hands in park neither of us dared to being it up. The next day we had went to KingsIsland but we just pretend like it never happened. I'm just glad that it didn't make things awkward.

So here I am a week later confused out of my mind. I might just be blowing the holding hands thing out of proportion. Wait, no I'm not he's the one that made a big deal about me not having the experience of holding hands. That's how we ended up holding hands. I just............ I don't know.

I'm just going to forget about for now and worry about it later.

Today's Monday and were being assigned lab partners. I don't know many people in this class. I hope I get Katie as my partner, fingers crossed.

"I hope we get to be lab partners." Katie whispered to me crossing her fingers looking quite anxious.

"Me too! " I whispered back.

"Okay today I'll assigning you lab partners for the rest of the school year and you can not switch, no matter what. Your partners are permanent, am I clear?" she asked.

"Crystal," the whole class responded in unison, which caused the class to erupt with laughter.

Once Ms.Baker stopped laughing she began talking again.

"You kids are something else. Okay the pairs will be.....

Seth and Tamera......

Kevin and Steven.....

Lindsey and Katie..."

I instantly frowned when I heard Katie's name. After that I tuned her out while she was calling the rest of the names, that's was until I heard my name.

"And lastly Dillon and Zachary. Okay everyone get with your lab partners and pick a lab station so I can make a seating chart. Choose wisely because you will be in the same seat for the rest of the year."

Everyone began getting up and going to the lab partners. I didn't even get out of my seat because I had no idea who Zachary was.

A boy that stood about 5'10ish with dirty blonde hair and very attractive might I add, began to approach me.

"Hey, I'm Zachary Clayton but you can call me Zach. Your Dillon, right?" Zach says extending his hand.

"Yeah, how did you know?"I responded shaking his hand smiling.

"Well your the only person sitting without a partner." He said smiling.

"Oh" is all I could say before he cut me off.

"And your pretty much the talk of the school."he finished. I looked at him surprised.

"And why's that?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Well it could be for 1 out of 4 things. 1. Your the new girl, 2. You stood up to Raihannah on your first day, 3. You hang around the all too famous basketball star Alex, or 4. Alot of guys might say your pretty hot. At least that's what I've heard." he said winking at me.

"Well then, okay I guess is nice to meet you Zach."

"The pleasure is all mine," he responded with a smirk plastered on his face. I looked down and began to blush. Zach put his finger under my chin and lifted my head so I could look him in the eye.

"Don't hide your blush from me, its cute," he said which caused me to blush even more. By then I was as red as a tomato. Zach just laughed and dropped his hand to his side. Zach went and sat next to me.
