Part 2

Liam:
Zayn hasn't responded to him yet & Ruth says it's just because his busy with his daughter or maybe because he's fallen asleep. And he thought she was probably right. But Liam is determined that his not going to miss when Zayn texts him back. After Ruth tries and fails to get her brother to put the phone down and join the rest of them outside. She goes outside her self leaving Liam inside alone staring intently at his phone

"C'mon Liam it's family pizza night put that thing away" his mum says as she enters the room about half an hour later "But mum what if he answers me & I'm not able to respond straight away he could think that I don't want to talk to him or something. That would be horrible!" He rants his mum just rubs his arm soothingly "you really like this one don't you" & Liam just nods "He's just perfect & he has a little girl I haven't met her but I assume she's just as perfect, they'd be the perfect addition to me & Lucas" he says

"He sounds great & if is as great as you explain him to be then he'll be fine if you don't answer him straight away" & Liam knows she's right & he also knows that Zayn is probably asleep so he finally turns his phone off & follows his mum back outside where his sisters, brother in laws & their children are.

Liam looks out at his son playing with Ashton both of them laughing and sharing and he smiles things might just end up ok. "His a good kid. Your doing a good job" Liam's dad says from behind him, "thanks dad, means a lot" and it did mean a lot. It didn't when someone they'd just met finds out about his situation but when It comes from his dad it really means a lot

Liam sits down in an empty seat and accepts the beer for him and the soft drink for Lucas that his mum offers him and then grabs a slice of pizza for him & one for Lucas knowing he won't eat unless his asked and even though his big enough to eat a slice in one piece Liam still likes to cut his piece in half

"Lucas come have some dinner" Liam shouts as Lucas looks up from the soccer (football for most. I'm Australian & heavily support AFL so don't kill me!) "But me & Ashton play" he says pouting slightly "Ashton has to come & eat his dinner too, isn't that right Auntie Ruth?" "Yep, c'mon both of you!" Ruth responses & Liam is grateful when he sees the boys come in. He pulls Lucas up into his lap & cuts his pizza slice in half

"So Lucas's birthday next week, you going to have party?" Nicola asks "Yeah daddy said I have party & invite all my friends" Lucas says smiling "daddy say race car themed" he says looking up at his dad as if for confirmation "Yeah, it's been a hectic few days planning & organising" Liam say playing with the longer strands of Lucas's hair

"Maybe you should invite this Zayn and his daughter" Ruth says with a smirk but Liam likes the idea, he'd get to see Zayn again & he'll get to met Elodie "that's not a bad idea Ruth" He says " I know I'm full of good ideas" she smilies "now let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

By the time that Liam gets home & gets Lucas to sleep it's late really late so Liam decides he'll ask Zayn tomorrow

Zayn:
Zayn woke up earlier then he would've liked thanks to some one climbing into his bed but this morning she hadn't had a bad dream she was burning up Zayn was supposed to go job hunting today but he can't if Elodie is sick

"Baba feel funny" she says as Zayn gets out of bed to get a thermometer & cold rag to put on her head "Fix It baba" she adds & Zayn's heart breaks at that he knows when she gets sick she gets super cuddly she doesn't usually let Zayn leave her sight she has to be touching him at all times

He calls the preschool to say that she won't be going in today and makes Lemon and "tea" in Elodie's sippy cup so can drink it lying down. When he comes back into his room Elodie is sleeping tucked in over on the side of the bed where Zayn usually sleeps like she does when she misses him Zayn smiles put everything he was caring down on the night stand and then snapping a quick photo and saving it as his wallpaper before snuggling up and 'spoonin' his daughter.
