Part 7

Liam:
Tonight was Zayn and Liam's date. Liam was stressing out his first date was such a success he was worried that if he didn't too it that maybe Zayn might not like him anymore and he couldn't have that happen

He had planned the night with the help of Shawn and Josh hoping that everything was and went perfectly. It was currently midday and he was at home by himself cleaning the entire house and packing a bag for Lucas to take to uncle Niall's and Shawn's. He didn't think the date would go entire night again but he both Lucas and Niall were quite happy at the idea of a sleepover and Liam was more then happy for them to do that.

Liam was forever grateful for his friends who alway made time for him and his kid and understood when Liam couldn't go out because Lucas wasn't feeling well or because he couldn't find anyone to look after him.

After he is finished cleaning he goes to get a hair cut even though his hair is not all that long he just really wanted to look perfect for Zayn. He then also went to the shops on the way stopping off to buy replace the things that they finished that week and buying some special treats for Lucas to take to his uncles and also deciding on some flowers and chocolates for Zayn

After shopping he checks his watch and he decides to go straight to pick up Lucas instead of home first to put away all the shopping. He pulls up in his usual spot as he waits for Lucas and he smiles thinking his life is going in the direction that he had always wanted

Lucas got in the car about 20 minutes later "How was school today?" He asks as he watches him making sure that he was all buckled in before starting to drive off "Good daddy, Although Henry came back today but he didn't bother me" he say smiling and Liam's glad. The day after his meeting with the teacher he found out that Henry was suspended for only like 3 or 4 days but Liam was just glad that some punishment was given even if it was so little and in affective

"That sounds great buddy, now remember you are going to your uncles house tonight" Liam says watching Lucas cheer in the back "I know, I'm so exited Uncle Shawn said he'd teach me his secret burger recipe" he says and Liam smiles Shawn has always made these amazing burgers they are actually Liam's favorite burgers and apparently they were what made Niall agree to becoming his boyfriend although Liam doesn't think that true Niall had been head over heals for the taller lad since high school. Shawn had always kept this recipe a secret only a few people knew and even though it was a very easy recipe that Liam knew he wasn't going to tell Lucas that "that's great bud, that means you'll have to cook dinner for me one night" and Lucas nods "I'll be a better chef then you soon" he giggles "I'm sure you will" Liam reply's

Once that got home Lucas changed out of his school uniform while Liam unpacked the shopping he bought and cut up some carrots to have with hummus for a snack for him and Lucas before he drops him off and gets Zayn

"Luke, snack time" he says and waits for Lucas to run down the stairs "of course it's healthy" he says rolling his eyes but starting to eat anyway and Liam knew he was only joking and Liam loved that they could have some banter but he also knew the line and barely ever crossed it "well we all know your not going to be eating well tonight, so get some carrot sticks in you" he says and Lucas just pokes his tongue out "we have different opinions on eating well then" Lucas said and that made Liam laugh a bit "alright, we'll eat up after you've eaten out your shoes on then we're going" Liam says in his 'stern' dad voice "ok"

And sure enough within the hour Liam was pulling up in front of Niall and Shawn's house they walk, well Lucas runs towards the door "I'm here boys" he says as he knocks on the door and it makes Liam smile how comfortable he is with his friends

"Your here?! Finally" Niall says as he opens the door and Lucas just nods smiling super wide, he really loved and looked up to all his uncles but in particular Niall and Shawn as they were the only too Liam trusted to look after him pretty much as soon as he born

"Thank you so much for this I really really appreciate" Liam says finally catching up to Lucas and Niall at the door "it's honestly no problem at all. I love the little guy and he loves us your date nights are just an excuse for us yo hangout" Niall teases and Liam smiles "alright, well have a good night boys. Don't feed him too much sugar and make sure he has enough sleep tonight" Liam says as Niall just rolls his eyes "Ok, daddy" Niall answers and now it was Liam's turn to roll his eyes but he smiles he doesn't really care that much but he couldn't let them know that

Zayn:
"Do you think he'll ask me?" Zayn asks Harry doing his hair for what Harry thought was the 100th time

"Yes, he will" Harry sighs "the man has been head over heels for you since before you met. The real question is what will you say?" Harry finishes and it makes Zayn think, what would he say? Is he ready for a relationship to let some in again, Is Elodie ready?

"I don't know. What about Elodie?" Zayn says changing his shirt "What about Elodie? Liam is asking you to be his boyfriend not Elodie. So think about yourself first for once. I understand that's she's a massive part of you, but she's not all of you and you need to start doing things for the sides of you that don't Elodie and I'm sure that If you like him and your relationship sparks and lasts then he'll be the perfect addition to your little family. She's a mini version of you anyway." And Zayn realises that while Harry didn't quite understand the way he thought he did, he had a point and he knew he really liked Liam but he was still deciding if he was going to make him work for it longer before they become boyfriends I mean it'd been like not even two dates. So he just left it and went to say goodbye to Elodie who was colouring in her room with Louis

When Zayn got into the room he Elodie had drawn on her bed "sprinkles baba" she says proudly and Zayn hates that he has to get her in trouble "I see the sprinkles Elodie. But where does your crayon go?" He asks kneeling down to her eye level and Elodie pouts "Paper, but baba look pretty colours" she says with her best as she moves her covers to show off her work and Zayn just shook his head "No, only pretty colours on paper" and Elodie's eyes started tear as she hurts her bottom Liam out. "I'm sorry Baba" she says "Please no time out" she adds and Zayn sighs "it's alright baby, how about this no time out, but no screen time for the next week." Zayn says and he wonders if his going to harsh for such a little thing but Elodie nods and sucks in a breathe as if trying to stop herself form crying

"not again promise." she responds putting her pinky out and Zayn wraps his pinky around her much smaller one and smiles "ipad time?" She asks and Zayn chuckles "No Elodie, still a week with no screen time" he says kinda expecting a big reaction for Elodie, but it doesn't come she just runs down the hall and Zayn wonders where she's going so he lets her go and just slowly follows behind her

"Uncle Louis, ipad?" She says after finding her uncle Louis and Harry in the living room watching tv and Zayn thinks it's the perfect time to stop her so he does jumping out from around the corner and picking her up making her giggle "Excuse me Missy, I thought I said no ipad time. You cheeky little girl" he says "Sorry Baba, forgot" she says as he puts her down and Zayn shakes his head at her "ok, we'll I have to go and finish getting ready. Please keep her in your sights and make sure she doesn't use any screens" he says leaving the room

When he comes back into the living room Louis and Harry are playing with building blocks on the floor with Elodie and Zayn smiles snapping a photo before making himself known

"Hey E, I came to say goodbye, I'm going out and your going to be here with your Uncles, ok?" "But I wanna go baba" she wines reaching her arms up and making grabby hands asking to be picked up and Zayn does

He almost caves and stays home to hangout with Elodie but Harry's words are still swirling in his head and he thinks about how his always here with Elodie every night is a hangout night and Liam is going to be here in like 10 minutes he couldn't cancel he can't do that to him "No Elodie stay, Baba go" he says and Elodie makes puppy eyes and pokes her bottom lip out and Zayn smiles sadly giving her hug and leaving her in her room before he feels even more guilty "wait" she shouts and Zayn turns around and is Met with Elodie running straight i to his legs hugging them tight Zayn runs his hands through her hair "bye bye baba" she says as she lets go and runs down to her uncles

Soon the doorbell rings and Zayn smiles as he walks down to open it but when he does he's confused "Hello, Zayn isn't it?" And Zayn just nods wondering what the hell is going on "Sprty, your probably very confused. I'm Andy, Liam sent me to come and pick you up, so that he could finish up his date" he says and Zayn's still confused but nods stepping down off the stair and closing the door behind him and then following Andy to his car

Probably needs heavy editing but I'm starting to feel burnt out so I'll do it another time. I hope you enjoy this chapter though!
