Part 5

Liam:
It had been a week since Liam and Zayn's first date they haven't met up again but they haven't stopped talking on text or on the phone. Tonight Liam was going out for dinner with Andy, Niall, Shawn and Josh to celebrate Shawn and Niall's engagement and Liam was really happy for them.

He wanted to invite Zayn but he thought It was too early to introduce him to his friends. They'd scare him away and especially one a night where people are walking on egg shells around him because of all the wedding stuff he appreciates his friends caring about him but it doesn't effect him the way they think it would.

Sure his a little bit jealous that his friends are going to get married. Because his fiancée died the just under a month out from their own wedding and he had to call everyone involved and tell them it was one of the worst things his ever been through

"Hey mum, thanks for coming over" Liam says hugging his mum as she comes inside to babysit Lucas "nonsense. Of course you. You go out I've got everything covered here"  she said already going through Liam's fridge to see what she make herself and Lucas for dinner

"Luke Nanna is here come down here" he shouts from the bottom of the stair case and then putting on his shoes as he waits for his son "bye buddy I'll see you tomorrow" "you'll be gone all that time?" He asks "No I'll be home but you'll be asleep so I won't see you till tomorrow morning" "Oh, goodnight then" Lucas says hugging his father

"Oh, there's my lovely grandson" Karen says as Liam and Lucas turn into the kitchen "well I'm off then, I'll see you in a few hours have fun with nanna" Liam says hugging both Karen and  Lucas

Liam decides to get a taxi to the restaurant not because he plans on drinking but because the others probably will and he'll have to baby sit them home and he doesn't want to deal with vomit in his car again

"Hey Li, glad you could come" Niall says getting up from his sit to shake Liam's hand as he take a seat across from him "Hey guys sorry I'm late" "all good we haven't ordered anything yet only drinks" Shawn says "that's alright, I'm not drinking tonight" "We assumed" Andy says chuckling and Liam just smiles

"So what's everyone eating?" Josh says picking up the menu as Shawn and Niall whispering to each and Liam sees Josh's obvious jealously. But choices to ignore it. 

After everyone orders the topic of Zayn comes up on the table as Liam had expected "He's good. Real good" Liam smiles "Payno's finally getting some" Niall says "Niall you are drunk" Shawn says holding his fiancé back from almost jumping across the table to high five Liam "No I am not" Niall says with a pout "your almost as bad as Lucas when your drunk" Liam says moving the glass away from Niall's reach "the food hasn't even come out yet" Andy Laughs finishing Niall's drink earning a scowl from Niall but Shawn was quick to kiss it away "Alright boys break it up" Josh says after hearing Niall moan "Hey we are all here to celebrate us" Shawn says attaching back to Niall "yes, but we aren't here to watch you shove your tongue down each other's throats" Andy says pulling them apart

It's way past midnight by the time Liam gets home he thanks his mum and offers to pay her something for her time feeling guilty that he arrived a lot later then he thought but of course saying that he "deserved a night out" and she "loved taking care of Lucas" and offered him the left overs from dinner. After she leaves Liams goes into check on Lucas. His fast asleep which Liam is glad he kisses and then goes to his own bedroom and sends Zayn a goodnight message before changing and going to bed himself

Zayn:
Zayn smiles as he revived his nightly goodnight text from Liam. "You're so gone for this one aren't you?" Trisha says giving Zayn a fright "Sorry baby. I was just getting a drink. What are you doing up anyway?" "I just couldn't sleep I guess" "here I'll make you a lemon and honey cold tea then?" "Sure" Zayn says gratefully looking down into his hands "what's going on in that head in that little head of yours?" Trisha says snapping  Zayn out of his thoughts "So many things" "well come on then out with it then boy" and Zayn smiles grateful that he still has his mum to talk too
