Chapter - 16
It was nothing, Antonio. Because you deserve all of the happiness.
...
"Do you like it? Or we can always go to a good restaurant for dinner," he placed his fingers on my lips to stop my rumbling.
"I love it, Mi Bella." I smiled and gently pecked his lips.
"Take a seat, I will bring the dishes" He shook his head, smiling.
"I will help you; you did all this for me, and if I just sit and let you do all the rest, I will think of myself as helpless." I smiled at his words and nodded. We soon arranged the plates on the small dining table. I made him all the Italian dishes while watching YouTube, of course. I never cooked Italian food before and I hope he likes it.
"Is anyone else going to come here for dinner?" I shook my head, confused.
"No, why do you ask?" He chuckles and wraps his hands around my waist, drawing me closer to him.
"Because, Bella Rousseau, you cooked for 6 people." I flushed and glanced down.
"I... it's..." he chuckled as he caressed my cheek.
"No one has ever done all of this for me, Mi Bella. I appreciate you doing this for me. It means a lot." I giggled as I placed my right hand on his cheeks, at the same time caressing it.
"It was nothing, Antonio. Because you deserve all of the happiness. Yes, you are a jerk and an asshole at times." He gave me a playful glare that made me laugh, and then I continued. "But you are mine, and I would be a fool if I did not make this dinner something special for us. Tonight is for us, and I didn't want it ruined." I finished it with a lot of love in my eyes, and tonight I intend on expressing my feelings to him. I will be dumb enough to let him walk away from my life. He is perfect and caring. Even if he doesn't reciprocate my feelings, I can make him fall for me. And I know he'll love me someday, but for now, my love is enough for both of us.
I glanced into his dark blue eyes, which were shining with admiration. "Let's have dinner before it gets cold," I said.
He nodded and brought out a chair for me to sit in. I gave a sincere "Thank you" before taking a seat. Afterward, he took his own seat.
"Impressive. These are my favorite dishes." I grin and stare at him adoringly. I made sure to cook all of his favorite foods. I prepared Bruschetta, pasta carbonara, and lasagna, and for dessert I made strawberry Gelato. I felt pleased as I watched his reaction as he glanced over all of his favorite dishes. It made me wonder how he could be so cold with others while with me, he was just like a child, who was happy while being served his favorite dishes. What made him sinister for the others? It was a mystery to me, and I didn't dare to question him about it yet. But I want to know more about him. Soon, I am going to get my answers from him.
"It looks delicious, Mi Bella," I gave him a smile.
"Yes, it looks delicious. I can't believe I prepared all of these foods for the first time, except for Lasagna." He was astonished by my revelation.
"Really, you have never cooked all these dishes, before?" I shake my head. "I never cooked Italian before; this is my first-time cooking all of these." He looked at my face for any signs of deception.
"You are lying," I arch my brows.
"Why would I?" His brow furrowed.
"Maybe you wanted to impress me and that's the reason you said you had never cooked this before." I gasped in disbelief and smacked his shoulder from across the table, causing him to chuckle.
