Chapter - 3

Darling, if I ever catch you eavesdropping again, I will ruin you.

...

I was on my way to class the next day when I took a deep breath when I caught a glimpse of the intimidating man from the day before. He looked handsome in simply light blue shirt and black trousers. And two of his shirt buttons were undone, giving him a sexy look. But what exactly is he doing here? Did he return to speak with Mr. Bernadi again? I furrowed my eyebrow when he walked into the science class. The class quickly filled up with students. Is he one of the teachers here? I was staring at him like a stalker when our eyes met, which made me swallow because of how his eyes were searching for my soul and how much rage his eyes possessed. Is it because of me? Or he is having a bad day? I shook my head, breaking our gaze. With a last look at him, I walked away from him and towards my class.

The lunch break arrived quickly, and Gia and I chose to eat in the cafeteria today because we hadn't brought our lunch. We were eating quietly when I noticed him coming towards one of the students. When I observe him murmuring something to the student that makes him pale, I scowl. What did he say to him that caused him to turn pale? Gia observed my reaction and cocked an eyebrow at me.

"Isn't he handsome?" Her question caught me off guard.

"Huh," she chuckles, leaning in closer to whisper.

"Isn't Mr. D' Angelo a handsome man?" I frowned and tilted my head, perplexed.

"Who is Mr. D'Angelo?" she face-palm herself making me look at her in a funny way.

"The one whom you are staring at like a creep" In total shame, I formed an 'O' expression and began blushing.

"I was not staring at him, I was...staring at the..." I take a look around before responding. "Walls...yeah, walls. I was fixated on the walls. Isn't the colour on the walls lovely? I'm thinking about using the same colour in my apartment." I began rambling.

"Rightttt," she taunted, mischievousness written all over her face.

"I'm telling the truth," I argued.

"Tell yourself that, but on a serious note. You have to listen to my words" she said with seriousness in her voice making me scowled.

"What do you mean?" she leans closer to whisper.

"You See him," she said, tilting her head in the direction of Mr. D' Angelo, who was standing with his hands tucked into his pant pocket. "He is bad news. If you wish to work peacefully at the school, I suggest that you keep your distance from him. If you get involved in his business, he would not hesitate to ruin you." I furrowed my brow. The things she said make no sense.

"Why do you say that?" I inquired.

"Because there are rumours about him going around here at school, about how he hangs out with the wrong crowd and will do anything to destroy anyone who gets in his way. And if you don't want to end your career, you should keep your distance from him. I know he's attractive, but trust me when I say he's not good news." I'm at a loss for words in this situation. When I glanced at him, he appeared to be frustrated. How can someone so attractive be so dangerous? We cannot just make conclusions based on rumour. What if the rumours are fake and he is a decent person? But I can't be sure. He is intimidating kind of man and I will wrong to say that I am not getting a bad vibe from him.

...

When it was time to go home, I was heading down the corridor when I heard noises coming from one of the classrooms, specifically the science room. I frown and lean in closer to listen what they're saying.
