A/N hey, I didn't want this book to just be about the games and how she does in them. I want her and her team to get to know each other like they did in the show. I ment to do this in the last chapter, but it didn't fit with the plot-sorry. Anyway enjoy this sorta short intermission chapter!

Before lights out again, we were just in our little huddle. All of us too scared from the previous attack. I looked up and examined my new team. It was big, but also a bit weak. We had two girls, an old man, and a weak homeless dude. We all look like a joke in this game together. I looked over them all again and thought about what their stories are. If they're all in debt, there has to be a reason right? I looked to my left and saw player 300. What was he thinking about? He looked angry, but then again, he was dead staring at the attacker's group.

I wanted to know about them. If we're gonna be a team, we might as well at least know each other's names right? I looked down at my knees, I could sence eyes on me. I looked back up and it was that girl. She was quite pretty I must say, her hair was in the perfect bob, and her curls made her face shape even more beautiful. Why was she looking at me? Did she have the same idea?

"Hey," I started, my voice was low enough for only us to hear.

"Um, why don't we learn each other's names?" I looked around the group, looking for anyone who would agree.

"Why don't I go first?" I asked a wall apparently.

I placed my hand to my heart, and spoke aloud. "My name is Ollie, Ollie Abyle." I looked around and my team looked like they finally got the point.

Player 300 cleared his throat and spoke. "Sang-won." He said emotionless. I felt a smile find its way to my tired face.

We went all around the circle, each of us telling each other our names. Player 199's name is Ali Abdul. I found it cute that we had kind of the same name, just spelled differently. Player 312's name was Kang Hyon. His name was simular to my roommate's. And Player 068's name was Kong saybia. I thought is was pretty, but it didn't suit her.

I looked back over to the attacker's team, and they were just sitting there. Their boss and the girl weren't there anymore. Where were they? The next game will start soon. Will they let us sleep long enough to be well rested for it? Probably not.

I could feel my eyes giving out on themselves. It felt like there was a 100 pound weight on them. I looked over to my other teammates, and they were still awake. If they're thinking about attacking again, we should keep watch.

"If they're gonna attack again one of us should keep watch." I said with a tired tone.

Sang-won looked up at me, I think he was agreeing. "That's a good idea, but we should have two. Just incase they go against the team, or fall asleep." He was right, we needed another person to keep them awake and make sure they don't betray is.

I nodded, and volunteered to go on first watch. He shook his head no, he knew I was too tired for that.

"Ok, then wake me up the second you get tired." I said as I crawled into bed. He nodded and him and Ali would take the first watch.

"We'll see you in the next three months my dear. You'll be safe with your aunt and uncle. They have our full trust. We know they'll take care of you ok?" My father said with a wet tone.

My eyes desperately tried not to let these tears loose, I wanted to stay strong for them. I didn't want them thinking I wouldn't be ok with them. But why did they have to leave so suddenly? They've been on business trips before, but were only gone for a few days. I wasn't used to this. My heart kept breaking as I looked into my mother's eyes. I could see her pain, she didn't want to leave me. But why were they so sad? I never understood that. I felt a soft touch on my shoulder, and looked over it was my aunt. She was as just as sad as them. But why? They weren't gonna die right? I thought Americans were nice? They wouldn't kill my parents right...?

"Let's go Ollie, it's time for lunch." My aunt said.

It couldn't be. I didn't want to leave them. I wanted to go with! It was unfair. It was unfair of them to do this to me. My aunt dragged me away as I cried out.

"No!! I don't wanna leave them aunty! I wanna go with!" My cries were no use. I held my hand over my mouth and sobbed into it. How cruel of them.

After lunch, my aunt got a call. I don't know who from, but she sounded so sad. She was screaming out. Over her sobs where cuss words. I tried to block her hysterical state out. But I couldn't. She kept screaming and sobbing.

"No! I won't believe you! They have to be alive. They....they-they have to!" That cought my attention.

Did...did moma and papa die...? No..yes? I walked into the room she was in. She was on the floor with her head in her knees. Her soft sobs made my heart tremble. They were alive. They had to be...

"Aunty...what's wrong?" I asked with a soft shaky voice. She slowly raised her head, and her makeup was everywhere on her face. She was a mess. She looked so heartbroken. No...I won't believe it yet.

"Oh sweetie..." She said silently. "I'm so sorry..." I knew it already..my hands went up to my mouth, my knees grew weak. They were gone...

She crawled over to me as I let myself fall to the floor. I was now the sobbing mess. It wasn't right. It didn't feel right. They had to be alive. Someone please tell me it wasn't true...

                                ***

My head hurt. Why was I dreaming that again? I didn't want to relive that. I didn't want that memory again. I guess this place makes your worst memories come back. Or was it because of my anxiety and stress? I was half awake now. I felt a soft touch to my chest, to which I woke up roughly to.

"Sorry miss, but you looked like you were having a bad dream." Ali said in a whispered tone.

I looked over his shoulder where Sang-won was. I guess it was mine and Hyon's turn. I lifted my body up with some trouble. I didn't want to seem weak to them. I needed this team, so I tried my best to get up with ease.

"Ok...I'll go wake Hyon." I said blankly.

I walked over to the man, and woke him up. He didn't wake with such a rough start as me. I guess he didn't have a nightmare like me.

We walked over to the place where we'd be watching. He sat down first and I followed his actions.

I looked over to him with a confused face. He looked more tired than any of us. Why was that?

"Hey, are you ok?" I asked. He nodded in response.

I looked back out into the open room, and said, "Uh, so why are you here?" I felt his eyes on me now. I looked over to him and his expression hadn't changed.

"I need the money to go see my daughter." He said just above a whisper.

He had a family? I looked back down and away.

"Why are you here?" He asked breaking this awkward air. I kept my eyes away from him.

"I...I need it to find my parents, and to pay for college." My reason wasn't as good as his. He deserved it more than me.

"Ah, your parents abandoned you?" He asked softly.

I looked over at him in shock. Normally, a person wouldn't just ask that.

"Uhm...not really. They're 'dead'" I made sure to use air quotes so he could understand it better. He just nodded. We both just looked back over to the group. They seemed to all be alseep. It was safe for now to sleep.

"Hey they seem to all be asleep, let's get some rest for now. We don't know what this next game could be." I suggested. He nodded and we went back over to our beds.

It was hard for me to go back asleep, I didn't want to risk dreaming that again. I soon fell alseep anyway. I needed it for tomorrow.
