As we were walking to the game hall, the colorful winding room didn't feel so colorful anymore. It felt...ominous. and didn't smell to great either, though it didn't smell good at first, but this smell isn't right. It's like death. In the middle of our walking, some people stopped. What for? They've never done that before.

I walked up to the front to see what was going on, I wish I hadn't. Hanging from the ceiling, was a player and three guards. They were hung from their resists. It was player 111, a square guard, and two triangle guards. The announcer came on, but it wasn't the woman. He said,

"Players, what you see before you is the traitors that tainted this place for their own gain. They broke the rules for their own benefit, while you are in this place we are giving you all another chance at equality. Everyone is to play fair but they broke those rules, I'm sorry you had to see it this way players. We promise this will not happen again." The intercom went off and we all progressed forward.

In the game hall, all of us tried to stick with our teams. We didn't know if we'd need each other again, but it was nice to be around a large group.

The woman came on and told us to get in groups of two. Of two? That means our teams don't need each other after this game. After this game, there will only be seventeen players left. So that means one of us will die...

As I was going over what the possible outcomes would be, Ali and Sang-won teamed up. I looked over as I felt eyes on me.

I instantly threw my hands up in defence. "Ah! No no, it's ok. I'll go find someone eles."

They understood and walked off to wait somewhere. I looked over to my other teammates, and the men were only teaming together. Did they discuss this while I was daydreaming? I looked around and I couldn't find the other three girls, and that old man. Where were they?

I started walking around to try and find someone. It seemed no one wanted to partner up with a girl. I looked up at the timer, it read '3:00' I seriously need to find someone. Where was that old man?

I walked past another man on his own. I only got a little bit past him before he called me back.

"Miss! Miss! Do you need a partner?" He called.

I turned around, he was a handsome man, he was average height for his age. He was hunched in a corner. I guess his team kicked him off? I walked back over to him and waited for his plea.

"Miss, you still need a partner. With that guy from before, there's an uneven number. So someone will be left without a partner." His points were right, if I kept on like this, I would be the one partner less. I only nodded and he continued,

"miss, I'm a math professor! I could be of great help for you!" He held his hands up in the praying position.

I thought about it, if he was a math professor, he would be able to make it through this game. I see what he's doing. He wants me to team up with him so he can kill me.

I shook my head no at him. Then I thought about that old man, should I team up with him? But if I would like to win...I would have to...but I also don't wanna die to this math professor. My hands are tied. What to do? What to do?

I went over to the old man after a minute of finding him. He was hunched over in another corner, but this time he was sitting with his knees to his chest. He still had my jacket on him. I smiled down at him, and put my hand out.
