falling (the 100)

Having a little fun! part 1.

Natalie's POV

Deep in the beautiful, green forest, on our way to mount weather, we slowed down to look at some pretty purple flowers growing on some bed's  of moss, well all of us except Clarke. Finn picked one of the flowers out of the moss and stared at it for a second, then turned to face Octavia, he pulled her hair back behind her ear and placed the flower delicately in her hair.

I wish some one would to that to me... I thought to my self catching a glimpse at jasper.

"Now that my friend is game." Jasper whispered to Monty.

"That, my friend, is poison sumac." Monty replied.

"What." Octavia brushed the flower out of her hair. "It is?"

"The flowers aren't poisonous, they're medicinal, common actually." Monty explained.

I walked ahead, i couldn't bare it, the flirting and guys falling over Octavia, while i just stand on the sidelines and watch my brother flirt with another girl, while he should be worrying about the one at home, on the ark. I stood still for a second and then once finn was caught up woth me i asked him. "Have you forgotten a certain some one you left on the ark?"

"Heh....Noo." I could tell by his tone that he wasn't even thinking about her when he gave Octavia that flower.

Clarke stopped and turned around. "Hey guys, would you try to keep up."

"Come on clarke, how do you block all of this out?" I said pointing to all of the beauty.

"Well, it's simple, i wonder, why haven't we seen any animals, mayne its because there are none, maybe we've already been exposed to enough radiation to kill us, sure is pretty though, come on."

"Someone should alip her some poison sumac." Octavia said sarcastically.

Jasper awkwardly snorted and laughed at Octavia's joke.

We kept walking and then finn decided to ask the question we all had on our mind. "We gotta know, what did you two do to get busted?"

"Sumac's not the only herb in the gardwn if you know what i mean." Monty answered.

"Someone forgot to replace what we took." Jasper said.

"We had to apologize like a thousand times."

"How about you Natalie what they get you for?" Jasper asked me.

"I'd rather not talk about." I said, tears building up in my eyes making it hard to see. Finn put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close to him, i placed my head on his shoulder and wiped the tears from my eyes.

"It's okay sis, it's okay." Finn was always the kind of big brother that would help and comfort you when you needed it.

"What about you Octavia?" Jasper looked at her with eyes that said 'please don't be upsetting'.

"What did they get me for, let me think, being born.." Octavia ran to catch up with Clarke, i unraveled my self from finn and followed her.

"That is so, not game." I heard Monty say as we left.

Clarke, Octavia and I were all squatting on the ground when the boys caught up, Clarke motioned for them to squat down and stay quiet, she then pointed to a deer grazing on some grass.

"No animals huh." Finn teased.

Finn took a few steps forward to get a closer look, not watching his footing he stepped on a stick that had broken of of a tree, it snapped and the deer turn towards us, revealing what I'd like to call, it's true identity, a two headed deer, one side looked fine but then it faded in to a furless, skinless beast with haunting eyes. We all gasped and backed up a few centimeters, the deer stared at us for no more than five seconds before it ran away into the forest.

We started to make out way down a hill and on to a dirt pathway.

"You know what I'd like to know, why send us down today, after ninety-seven years, i mean whay changed?" Finn questioned.

"Who cares, I'm just glad they did, i woke up rotting in a cell and now.. I'm spinning in a forest." Octavia said happily, staring my brother in the eyes as she spun around a skinny, mossy tree.

"Maybe they found an old satellite, you know, like an old weather satellite." Monty guessed.

"It wasn't a satellite, the ark is dying, with the current population level there's ruffly three months left of life support, maybe four now that we're gone." Clarke explained.

"So that's the secret they locked you up to keep, why they kept you in solitary, floated your old man?" Finn asked.

"My father was the engineer who discovered the flaw, he thought the people had a right to know, the council disagreed, my mother, disagreed, they were afraid it would cause a panic, we were going to go public anyway, when wells..."

"What.. Turned in your dad." I completed her sentence in question.

"Anyway, the guards came before we could, that'swhy today, thats why it was worth the risk, even if we died, atleast they bought themselves more time."

"They're gonna kill more people aren't they." Monty said concerned, well pretty much anyone but me would be concerned at this point.

"Good. After what they did to me I say float 'em all." Octavia walled ahead of the group and I followed.

"You dont mean that." Jasper reassured her as he followed us.

Octavia had asked me if i wanted to go for a swim, of course i said yes. We stood up on the highest rock we could find to jump off of, and took off our pants and shirts.

"Damn, i love earth." I heard Jasper say as he watched.

Finn, Monty,  and Clarke all caught up to us after talking to see qhat jasper was looking at.

"Natalie, Octavia what the hell are you guys doing?" Clarke asked, why is she always so strick and not fun.

We looked at them, took each others hand and jumped into the refreshing water. They all ran to the rock we'd just jumped off of and looked down at us, we just had our eyes and nose showing so it looked like the water was deep.

"Guys we can't swim." Monty complained.

"No, but we can stand." I said, as Octavia and i stood on the smooth, wet sand below us and the water. Octavia laughed and smoothed back her hair.

"Wait, there's not supposed to be a river here." Clarke examined the river, referring to her map.

"Well there is so take off your damn clothes." Finn told her.

Jasper looked behind us as we were chilling in the water. "Get out of the water". We looked at each other and then turned around, the water was bubbling as something large came swimming towards us. "GET OUT OF THE WATER NOW!" The creature grabbed Octavia and dragged her under. "OCTAVIA!" I was close to the shore so i swam over to the bank where Finn helped me up. We ran towards where the creature and Octavia were.

"Maybe if we distract it it will let her go." I said pushing a large rock into the water, i was right, the creature let her go and went over to where the rock fell in.

Jasper jumped into the water and grabbed onto Octavia and pulled her to the back, he pushed her up first and then got him self up. They both were laying on the rocks soaking wet, Octavia had bite marks on her right leg. Clarke ripped a peice of Jaspers' shirt off and rapped it arpund her leg. "Your gonna be okay." She said.

Finn looked at me then down at my side. "Nat, your bleeding."

"It's probably nothing, i probably just scratched it on a rock or something, no big deal." I started to feel kind of dizzy, things started to get blurry. "I need to sit down for a seco...."

"Natalie!? Natalie!? Nata..." Finns' voice faded away as did my consciousness.
