"No no no, you want to make sure that the pan is nice and hot, then you want to make sure that you have enough oil in the pan, then, once the pan is hot you want to place the steak, not drop it." I say to the new guy. I don't really know how they hired him, but he's not very good.

But rather than shouting at him and mocking him I like to be kind and talk him through what he's going wrong and how to correct it. Firstly, because it works people are more inclined to listen to people when they are teaching them and not screaming at them.

And secondly, my dad used to shout at me any time that I'd do something wrong, and in those moments I would want to hit him, tell him that he's cruel and that he's an awful father.

But I wouldn't, because I had integrity, and I wasn't raised that way. My mom taught me to watch my mouth and be kind, even when you felt angry. One of the many things that I take from my mom.

I leave the new guy with the steak sizzling in the pan. He's got the thyme and the garlic lightly roasting next to it so at least he's got something right. I have to assume that he's got the correct timings for the steak, because we ask the customer what type of steak they like.

I go back to cooking the calamari, which is a specific dish because the timings have to be perfect, as if you leave it on for too long, between 45 seconds to over a minute, the squid will become chewy.

It's also one of the foods that I have to have restraint for. I really do love squid.

"Hey, [Y/N], I've got a customer that wants to speak to you." One of the waiting staff calls out to me. I check the timer on my watch, seeing that there's 10 seconds till I have to take it off the heat.

"Yeah give me a second." I respond, waiting for the perfect moment to take the food off the heat. I do and put it onto the plate, neatly placing it beside the dipping sauce.

I take the plate and take it to the serving table. I ring the bell and yell out the name of the table the food should be taken to.

Once out of the kitchen I take off my chefs hat and hair net and head out of the kitchen. I'm lead through the restaurant to the table with the customer summoning me.

I only ever get called to tables because they are either unhappy with the waiting or with the food, so I put on my boss bitch face.

When I see an opening with a large table, multiple people sat around a circular shaped table, I notice that this particular group is fairly large. Approximately 8 people. As I grow closer and closer I can see that I know some of them.

They're the Marvel cast. They're all famous. Oh god they're definitely going to complain, and I really don't want that.

I can name each and every one of them. Scarlett, Chris Evans, Robert, Tom Holland, Sebastian, Anthony, Jeremy and Elizabeth. I walk in and it's Robert that's the first to see me.

Then I can see the realisation on Scarlett's face as she notices me from the coffee shop. The last people I would have expected to see here tonight, and here they are. Eating at the restaurant I work at. Elizabeth has her back to me so she isn't aware that she's unknowingly, I assume, run into me.

"Hey, are you the one that cooked the lobster?" Robert asked, looking from the waiter who served them to me. I've met Elizabeth Olsen and Scarlett Johansson already but, not offence to either of them, they aren't Robert Downey Jr.

"I am." I say, placing my hands over my front, standing professionally, trying to look my best in front of the group.

Scarlett's eyes flicker from me to her friend, who's back is turned. Apparently she could recognise my voice. She quickly swivels her body to turn round and face me.
