Tw: homophobia and mentions of beatings, killing and like a lot of kissing because these two I love these two, violence
Crutchie huffed. "Im NOT in love with Davey."
Jack sat up from the couch. "Hm?"
Crutchie took his phone away from his ear. "Race. He keeps insisting I'm in love with Davey."
Jack raised his eyebrows. "You aren't?"
Crutchie shook his head vigorously. "No!" he turned back to his phone. "Its not that hes not a great guy-"
Race said something from the other end. Crutchie frowned. "What?"
He bit his lip and hung up after Race repeated what he had said.
Jack looked at him. "What happened?"
"Nothing."
"Really, what?"
"Its none of your concern, Jack!" Crutchies voice was hinted with panic.
"Hey, you alright?"
"Yes, I'm okay, Jack! Just leave it!"
Jack shut up, concerned.
Crutchie looked at the ground. "Im sorry, I just- I gotta go."
Jack nodded, getting up to give him a hug.

"Hey?" Crutchie knocked on Daveys bedroom door. "Its me."
Davey opened it and smiled. "Crutchie! What brings you here?"
Crutchie hugged him tight, burying his face into Daveys t-shirt and started crying.
Davey frowned. "Charl?"
Crutchie hugged him tighter.
"Hey, Crutchie... Crutchie, whats up?"
Crutchie sniffled. "You know a week ago, when we kissed behind school?"
Davey thought of it and smiled. Crutchie was a soft kisser. "Yeah?"
"Morris saw us."
Davey blinked. "And?"
"And he told my dad."
Daveys eyes widened. "What? How?"
"School telephone. Snuck into head teachers office and told him. R-Race played over a recording of them talking."
Davey rubbed his back. "Yeah?"
"And he didn't sound happy. He called me slurs and crap. He said I'm not his son, and as soon as I get back from staying at the Kelly-Larkins' for a week, hed say it to my face, beat me up, and throw me out."
Davey hugged him tight. "Im so sorry, Crutch. That's horrible!"
"I go back tomorrow..." he couldn't control his tears. "He threatened you too, I don't want anything to happen to you,"
Davey held him close. "Hey, Crutchie, don't worry about me. Okay? Ill be okay. You, on the other hand... You should have good parents. You deserve the best parents. Life is so unfair on you."
"Mum was the best parent..."
Davey kissed the top of his head. "I know..."
Crutchie tried not to cry more as Davey ran his fingers through his hair comfortingly.
"Crutchie?"
"Yeah?"
"You can live with me."
"What?"
"We graduate soon, we can get a little apartment somewhere. Just the two of us. Jack, Sarah, Les and every one can visit once in a while. But just the two of us. I know its a big step, but I love you. And we've been together for over a year. Without your dad, we won't have to keep us a secret, even to your brothers."
Crutchie dried his eyes. "You think we can?"
"We can get part time jobs to pay rent and stuff. Wanna do it?"
Crutchie nodded. Gosh, he loved him. He loved him so much. "Yeah, Id love that."
"And as for tomorrow. Im making sure he doesn't lay a finger on you."
"Davey, don't."
"Try and stop me."
"I will."
"Im coming with you, Crutchie, whether you want me to or not. I don't give a damn if he beats me, heck, if he kills me. You'll be safe and I'll make sure of that till I die."
Crutchie looked up at him, tears still in his eyes. "Day..."
Davey ran a thumb over his cheek before kissing him gently.
Crutchie had his hands in his hair, kissing him back.
The kiss was tender and sweet. Both of them forgot about everything for a minute and just enjoyed each others presence. Crutchies crutch was on the ground as Crutchie was now being held up by Davey. Neither of them wanted to pull apart. They wanted this to stay forever.
"Cray?" Davey leaned back a little, so that their lips were still touching but he could speak.
Crutchie always loved that nickname. Davey had given it to him.
"Jaco?" Crutchie had given that one to Davey after one cute pillow fort date with chocolates, kisses and Hamilton.
"You wanna know when I fell in love with you?"
Crutchie kissed him again quickly. "When?"
"When I failed on that test," Davey kissed him briefly. "And the Delanceys made fun of me for it," another kiss. "So you took my hand and led me to your house. That's when I first met your dad, and found out what you had to put up with. You remember what you did?" Davey kissed him a little longer.
Crutchie shook his head.
"You smiled. You said that in the end it would all be okay. You also wanted to flip him off in gay." Davey chuckled. "Then we watched Dear Evan Hansen together. I knew I was in love with you ever since then, because you were so optimistic and sweet, and funny too."
Crutchie smiled. He remembered that day. "Wanna know when I knew I loved you?"
Davey kissed him in response.
"Remember when the Delanceys beat me up bad and left me in the dumpster? I had a bruise on my left eye, my fingers were bleeding and they had snapped my crutch."
Davey nodded. Both their eyes were still closed and their faces were touching.
"You helped me. You took me here and cleaned my cuts, gave me rest and cuddles."
Davey smiled.
"You were so gentle and caring and smart... I wanted to kiss you on the spot."
"So, the Delanceys brought us together?"
Crutchie laughed, kissing him again.
Davey had his arms wrapped around his waist. He spun him around slowly, still smiling. "Forget your dad, forget the whole world. We're perfect for each other."
"No one can say otherwise."
Davey kissed his nose tenderly. "No one can say otherwise."
