chapter 9

Harry Styles

"Fuck" I rub my palms against my eyes, the lasers of sunlight shining through the curtains and into my eyes.

After a few moments it clicks that I'm not only in Levi's bed but she's a deadweight on top of me, our hands intertwined above my shoulder.

Immediately I let go of her hand and attempt to pull her arm off of my chest, wincing as she stirs.

The closeness between us all of a sudden makes me anxious. I quietly shuffle myself away from her, almost falling off the edge of the bed but quickly save myself by pressing my hand flat against the floor.

I quickly stand up, pulling the duvet back over Levi's shoulder before making my way downstairs to find my mum getting ready to leave.

"Mornin', how'd you sleep?" I whisper, helping her grab her jacket so we can leave.

"Morning,I slept well, You?" She asks with a small smirk now knowing there's something going on between Levi and I. I know she's just itching to ask me about it. I roll my eyes and open the door for her rushing her to leave before Levi wakes up.

For some reason I get this scared feeling when thinking of liking Levi. I don't know why, she's the first girl to make me nervous. I don't like it.

Thankfully school is closed today due to the weather causing a power cut so I don't have to worry about running into her. I plan to distract myself for the time being to try to get my mind into other things.

"Soo" She looks over at me with this look in her eye. We just left Levi's, she drank last night so I'm driving home. "You and Levi? Ay" She nudges my arm with her elbow, a bright smile on her face.

"Stop it" I pull away from her, "Don't start this" I chuckle knowing shes gonna blow this out of proportion

"What do you mean stop it!" She laughs, "I'm your mum, part of my job is to annoy you"

"We'll do it quieter" I mumble

"What was that?" She raises her eyebrow as I stay silent, "Yeah, that's what I thought. So you and Levi? Tell me!"

I shake my head at her, "There's nothing to tell" I lie straight through my teeth

"Well if it's Nothing where'd you go the other night? Huh" She smirks knowing exactly where I went, "Oh and I'm not even gonna mention what I walked in on yesterday"

I give her a look of 'I'm not telling you, drop it' to which she hits back with 'I invented this look, tell me'

"Okay fine. I took Levi to the fair. There, now shush" I tighten my grip on the steering wheel, pulling into the driveway.

She stares at the side of my face with a huge smile, "I told you to shush" I squint, turning my head to look at her before turning away again.

"I didn't say anything!" She holds her hands up in surrender, "But if I could say something I would tell you that I really like her" She smiles rubbing her arm up and down my arm, "Come on let's go inside"

I make my way inside and go straight up to my room, shutting the door behind me. I lay down in my bed and stare at the ceiling and just think. Think about Levi, specifically. The feeling in my gut I get when I look at her, kiss her, even just think about her, feels like I've got the wind knocked out of me.

The thought of telling her this scares the shit out of me. I know I'm gonna feel like an idiot when she doesn't feel the same.

After staring off into space for a good while the sound of my phone going off snaps me out of my trance. I lift my head up and reach for my phone unlocking it to find a text from Levi. My heart drops not knowing how to handle my feelings toward her.
