Third person POV

They arrived at Auradon,they were walking to the school when Lonnie said "I'll get these back to the gym" refer to the swords in her hand "Thanks" Jay thanked her "See you later" Lonnie said and walked away "I need to change out of these clothes, I'll see you later okay?" Y/n told Evie, Evie nodded and pecked y/n's lips

"Ben! There you are. Cotillion's tonight" Jane said as she walked towards them "Come here. Look" Jane said, Ben looked at the tablet and saw the stained glass window of Mal "This is the stained glass window for Mal. Isn't it beautiful? She's gonna love it" Jane said, Ben looked at Mal "Do you wanna cancel?" He asked her "Um, you know what? I can come back. Uh, but like, really, really soon" Jane said "No,no,no. Now's fine. Um..." Ben said as he looked at the tablet and looked to Mal again "Do whatever you need to do" Ben reason Mal, Mal just looked at him with her arms still crossed.

Evie dragged Mal away from Ben "We need to talk" Evie whispered to her "Yeah" Mal agreed, they were about to walk away when they heard a familiar voice behind them "No" the voice said, they turned around to see Carlos and Jay "No?" Evie asked confused "You guys are always going off in a huddle, whispering your girl talk stuff or whatever, and Jay and I are tired of it" Carlos said "I'm not" Jay shrugged "We're your family too. We've been through a lot. Together. I'm not stopping that now. Okay?" Carlos said and Mal nodded "Everyone sit" Carlos ordered as he sat on the grass, they just stood there and looked at him "Come on" Carlos said, they all sat down and sat in awkward silence "I don't know how to start girl talk" Carlos said  "What up?" Jay blurted out causing Evie to chuckle "Um... well... I'm a mess. I'm such a mess" Mal chuckled nervously, Evie put a hand on Mal's shoulder to reassure her that she's there for her "I mean, six months ago, I was, you know, stealing candy from babies. And now, everybody want's me to be this Lady of the Court, and I have no idea how to keep up the act" Mal said with tears welling up in her eyes "Then don't" Carlos answered simply (Thank you captain obvious) "See? This was dumb" Jay said about to stand up "Maybe it wasn't" Evie said making him sit back down "We're always gonna be the kids from the isle" Evie said holding Mal's hand "I tried to forget it, I really tried, but those are our roots. And we all did what we had to do to survive" Evie looked at Mal "But it made us who we are. And we're never gonna be like anybody else here. And that's okay. That's okay" Evie said with a small smile "And we can't fake it" Carlos said "No" Evie shook her head "Yeah, I mean, especially without my spell book" Mal said "Mal if Ben doesn't love the real you, then he's not the one" Carlos told Mal "I like that" Evie nodded with a smile "Give him a chance" Carlos said, Mal just stayed silent "I'm gonna make some changes to your dress, and if you're up for it, only if your up for it, it'll be waiting for you okay?" Evie side hugged Mal, Carlos, Evie, mad Jay stood up and walked away to give Mal some space, Jay stayed behind and sat down next to Mal "Come to Cotillion tonight alright? If Ben isn't smart enough to love you and you can't stand another day, I'll drive you back tomorrow myself" Jay said making Mal smile "Okay" Jay said, he patted Mal's shoulder and left her alone. Mal thought about it for a minute and believed what they said, if Ben doesn't love the real you, he is not the one. The words kept replaying in her head so she decided to give in

Carlos was wandering around "Girl talk? Crushed it" Dude said and Carlos laughed "Yeah, except when it comes to asking Jane out, then I'm a total chicken" Carlos said "I'm gonna paraphrase one of the bravest boys I know" Dude said and cleared his throat, Dude sat down and Carlos crouched down to his level "If she does not love the real you, then she is not the one for you" Dude repeated what Carlos told Mal "You really are a man's best friend" Carlos petted Dude "Come on buddy let's go" Carlos said as they continued to walk around the school.

Jay entered the practice room "Let's bring it in, boys. Let's bring it in" Jay said as all the boys stood up "Alright. You all know I come from the isle right? Thing's are pretty whack" Jay scoffed "But there is one thing the isle's got on Auradon. If you're strong, we want you by our side, girl or boy" Jay said "Hey. Jay, hold on here, we don't uh.... We don't break the rules here in Auradon. That's over on the isle" Chad reminded him, Jay pulled out his rule book "The team shall be comprised of a captain and eight men" Jay read out loud "So, uh, give it up for your new team captain" Jay said as Lonnie walked in "Whoa what?" Chad said in confusion as Lonnie just giggled, Jay took off his whistle and gave it to Lonnie "Thank you" Lonnie said and all of them clapped except for Chad of course. All of them bowed and Lonnie looked at Chad to see that he didn't bow "Fine" He said and bowed. Lonnie blowed her whistle "Give me 10. Come on guys" Lonnie said, they dropped to the ground and started doing push-ups while Lonnie put her foot on Chad's back "Pick it up Chad" Lonnie said with a mischievous grin. Once they did the ten push-ups she blowed her whistle and said "Okay, practice is over. Get out of here. Go get ready for Cotillion" Lonnie smiled. They got up and left "Hey Jay" Lonnie said making Jay turn around to look at her "Yeah?" He said "Wait until I tell my mom" Lonnie smirked "Lets get out of here" Jay chuckled as they exited the room.

Evie's POV

I was in my room where I makes the dresses when I heard a knock on the door "Come in" I said "I have a scout badge and s'mores" A familiar voice says making me turn around to see Doug.

"How could you go camping without me?" Doug said "What?" I asked confused

"Are you seeing someone else?Are you?" Doug asked me, I just stayed silent "Is it Happy's son? 'Cause let me tell you, he is not as happy as his dad. Kind of a dark streak in fact" Doug said

"Doug. Ben was captured on the isle. We rescued Ben and saved Auradon" I explained "So you're not seeing Happy's son or anyone else?" Doug asked me  "Uh.... Well yes I am seeing someone" I said "Who?" Doug asked me "Y/n" I said and looked at the ground avoiding eye contact thinking that I might lose a friend "Oh. You could've told me, I wouldn't ever judge you or y/n" Doug said "Wait, you aren't mad?" I asked him looking up from the ground "Of course not, I mean, if you told me sooner I wouldn't have kept chasing you around, of course I accept you" Doug said with a smile. I was so happy that I gave him a hug "Thank you" I whispered

"Well then, we have dresses to deliver. It is Cotillion day after all" I said after I pulled away from the hug, I walked over to my table and picked up one of the accessories Dizzy made "And you know what? I was lucky enough to have been given a chance and now I need to give someone else a chance too" I said referring to Dizzy "My uncle bashful used to say that" Doug said "Did he?" I asked him "Yeah. But really quietly" Doug added making me laugh "Let's do this" I said as we headed of to deliver the dresses.
