Third person POV

Mal ran to her locker to try and get her spell book when Ben came up to her "Hi Mal" Ben said making Mal jump "Hi" Mal chuckled nervously "I have a little surprise for you" Ben told her "Again? Wow that's like every day now" Mal said "Or every other day. The even days. Because you're even more perfect than I thought" Ben said making Mal chuckle "That is me. I am perfect" Mal said sarcastically "Come on, let me spoil you. You didn't have a lot growing up" Ben said as he stepped closer to her "We managed" Mal simply said "Hey didn't you donate that to the museum?" Ben asked her as he looked into her locker to see her spell book, Mal closed her locker and said "Is that still in there? Um, I gotta get to class. I really don't wanna be late" Mal said hoping Ben would just leave "No, you come this way" Ben said as he grabbed her arm making her groan "First off..." Ben guided her to a purple moped/motorcycle making Mal gasp "Ta-da" Ben said "What?" Mal said and put her hands to her mouth in shock "You like it?" Ben asked her "Ben. Does an ogre like cheese puffs? This is amazing!" Mal said as she touched the leather seat "I didn't get you anything" Mal pouted feeling bad "You're taking me on a picnic with all my favourite foods, remember?" Ben said as he leaned on one of the lockers "No, that's Thursday" Mal said as she touched Ben's shoulder "It is Thursday" Ben said "No it's not" Mal said "Yes it is" Ben said taking hi phone out "No it's not" Mal argued with a smile "It is" Ben showed her the date "I knew that" Mal said trying to convince him "I mean, if you don't have it, it's fine" Ben reassured her "No no no. I was fully messing with you. I knew it was Thursday. I just have one more thing to go bake and then I am all yours" Mal said with her fast thinking "What about class?" Ben asked her "She multitasks" Mal said as she started to walk away "She dabbles" Ben said with a smile "She dabbles" Mal repeated his words and chuckled "You're the best" Ben shouted as she got farther away "That's me" she shouted back.

"Alright boys, let's line it up" Ben ordered them "Carlos, you're with me, let's go" Jay exhaled "Yeah" Carlos said and stood up. Everyone got in their places "Rassembler"Jay said as they pointed their swords at each other "Salute" Jay said and brought their swords near their face "Lower the point" Jay told them and pointed the tip of their swords to the ground "Masks down" Jay ordered "En garde" Jay said as they all got on their fighting stance and started to fight each other (Safely ofc😗) "Keep your center" "Eyes on your opponent" are a couple words Jay told them. Jay and one person was in the middle, Jay took off his mask but the other person didn't "Get em Jay" Carlos cheered, they were doing some really cool tricks and Jay was impressed to say the least. Jay tried to knock the person off their feet but they dodged it, suddenly the person grabbed Jay's sword and tried to hit him but Jay dodged it, Jay kicked the sword back in his hand then the other person took off their mask to reveal... Lonnie!
Making Jane and the other cheerleaders (Who were watching them practice) cheer "Not bad" Jay complimented her "You should put me on the team" Lonnie suggested, that caught Chad's attention "Hey what? No no no we'll be the laughing stock of the league. And what's gonna happen next? We'll have girls playing tourney. Come on guys" Chad said "So?" Jay asked him, Jay thought that it was a good idea to have Lonnie on the team because she was actually really good at sword fighting "So? So have you not read the rule book?" Chad said pulling out his rule book "Section 2, Paragraph 3, 11-4. A team will be comprised of a captain and eight men" (ew m*n) Chad read out loud "Mmm. You should read the rule book" Chad said "Okay, yeah, but your down a man. You know, since Ben had to leave to do all that cotillion stuff" Lonnie argued "Exactly. We're down a man" (istg if he says m*n one more time I will punch him where it hurts) "Jay" Lonnie said "I'm sorry. Coach trusts me. I'm not gonna stay captain if I just throw out the rule book" Jay said making Chad nod "If my mother thought that way,  she would've lost the war" Lonnie said making Chad scoff "Okay" Chad shrugged "Rule book. Rule book" Chad said as she walked away "Alright guys, Practice is over, let's go" Jay said as they all started to leave. Carlos spotted Jane and thought that now was his chance "Jane. Jane, hey" Carlos said "Hay Carlos, what's up?" Jane said "Uh, not much. You?" Carlos said "Way too much. We were gonna go with the blue and gold banner for Cotillion, but now we can't find the right shade of blue" Jane said "Oh yeah, No, that's a bummer. Um, speaking of Cotillion-" Carlos got cut off by Jane saying "I know right? It's all anybody is talking about. Cotillion 24/7. It's like they've never been to one before" "Uh... I haven't actually" Carlos said "Oh..." Jane said in realisation "Lucky. I always end up serving punch with my mom anyway. This year I got stuck on decorating committee because Audrey went off to a spa vacation with Flora, Fauna and Merryweather" Jane said "Jane, maybe we should just-" Carlos got cut off again "Skip the whole thing?" Jane scoffed "I really, really wish I could. It's so nice to have a friend who's on the same wavelength" Jane said (Ouch friend zoned😬) "Oh, you got me" Carlos said making both of them chuckle then Jane's phone rang "I gotta go. Great practice though" Jane said "Yeah" Carlos agreed with slight disappointment in his tone for not being able to ask her out "See you" Jane said with a smile and walked away. Carlos looked at Dude who whined "It wasn't the right time, alright?" Carlos said.
