Izana was fond of the orphans. He used to be one too perhaps that was the reason why he instinctively got close with them.
You'd take him out as he requested and without talking to you, he'd go to wherever his 'favorite bunch' were at and group himself among them.
He's not the type to harm the kids, he's not Sanzu. The man who's ready to claim the title of 'Father' of the child who isn't even his would never harm a kid, right?
"Don't you think you're being kinda careless?" Chrollo questioned.
"Hmmm....I am being careless, yes indeed." With your eyes fixated on Izana, you replied to the distraction.
Chrollo curiously glanced at your patient since he was surrounded by cheerful little kids.
"Y'know, I've heard some unpleasant things around."
"Yeah. Things that frames me into an unlikeable woman I guess." you turned to face him.
"Despite the rumors, I believe you are a good person, Dr. Y/n." he too, turned to you and smiled. Well too Izana got a glance at you both.
"Wow, I like you. There should be more people like you." you gave him a gentle smile.
Izana slightly frowned at what he was seeing, a doctor he's never seen before chatting with and smiling at his woman.
"I would take it as an compliment. We should hang out for a coffee some other day, I'm free on the weekends."
"Hm, I'm not sure about that..."
Chrollo took the hint. Though, he still smiled and took the indirect rejection heartily.
"Well, whenever you're free. My break's almost over, just came by to have a short chit chat. Have a nice day, and oh, happy motherhood~" the man was so gentle...
