"Good morning."
Lukas wouldn't be lying if he said he was already awake before then; he'd awoken a long while before Matthias. But when he noticed the other boy--man, he was a man now--stirring and pulling him into his warm chest, Lukas couldn't help but play pretend for a little while.
"You awake, Lukas?" Matthias murmured, voice groggy and riddled with sleep. Lukas could feel his heartbeat quickening now that he was awake, could feel something hard dragging against his hipbone as Matthias shifted them around. He'd almost forgotten they weren't wearing any clothes.
He told the heat pooling down below that it wasn't the time nor the place--well, maybe it was the place, but it certainly wasn't the time. He tried his best to stay "asleep", not wanting to wake up and ruin the moment.
Matthias pressed a soft kiss to his forehead and then his neck, then whispered softly in his ear, breath tickling Lukas' face and causing goosebumps to break out across his skin. "Come on, you faker."
Lukas sighed and opened his eyes, his vision blurry for a few moments before he rubbed his eyes. "Morning."
"Min elskede, you're not very good at fake-sleeping."
"Shut up." Lukas buried his face in Matthias' neck, already blushing like a cherry--not just at the sugarcoated insult, but at the pet name as well.
"If you need more sleep, you can sleep--I can make us eggs, bacon, coffee, and what have you."
"You don't have to do that," Lukas mumbled, pushing his messy blonde curls from his face.
"I want to," Matthias said, helping Lukas in fixing his hair. Lukas' hair was always really hard to tame in the morning and at this point, he was very aware that he looked like a mop. Their actions the night before certainly hadn't helped.
"Well, I don't want you to." Lukas settled back into Matthias' warm, muscular arms. "I want you to stay here."
"You want to stay in bed all morning?"
"I'd be fine with that."
Lukas felt Matthias craning his neck to look at him; he could almost see the look on the strawberry blonde's face in his mind's eye. He almost certainly had one eyebrow raised, a grin spreading from ear to ear. Lukas wished he could see his beautiful blue eyes sparkling in the early morning sunshine, which was pouring through the windows.
"That's too bad. I'm really hungry." Matthias' stomach grumbled to punctuate that statement, and Lukas almost laughed.
"Fine, but you better not be going down there butt naked." Lukas shifted off of Matthias, exposing the both of them, and he hurriedly got back under the covers.
Matthias just chuckled but in a good-natured way. He tucked the covers back around Lukas, almost swaddling him like a baby, and stood up to stretch in all his naked glory. "Wouldn't think of it, princess."
"I thought I was the queen?"
"Nah. Princess is better." Matthias leaned down to kiss his forehead before covering up all that exposed skin, thankfully getting a clean set of clothes to do so. But before he could open the door, Maike did that for him.
"Oh! Godmorgen, you two. How are y-"
It was then that Maike decided to look around at the state of her nephew's room, her eyes falling on the clothes strewn across the floor, the shoes thrown haphazardly next to the bed. She then met Matthias' gaze again, a shit-eating grin spreading across her face, and Lukas hid under the covers in embarrassment. If he'd been a cherry before, he had to be a fire truck now.
