"Don't you agree with me, Kakashi!?"

All night Obito had been half-whispering, half-shouting his plans to Kakashi about going with Rin to the mission.

Kakashi groaned, and shook his head. "Obito, we wouldn't be able to do anything right now, even if we wanted."

The Uchiha turned to look at the Hatake with a frown, sadness and sorrow mixed in that one eye of his.

Kakashi sighed. "I want to help her too, just like you. But because there's a war, do you think security would be easy to get through?"

He looked at Obito.

"There's no chance we'd be able to get past the village's borders, more so fight for ourselves in this condition."

As soon as Kakashi finished explaining Obito groaned, and put the pillow over his face.

"Ugh, whatever, Bakashi." he stayed quiet after that.

Kakashi was now at peace and decided to sleep, finally.

He closed his eye.

Tomorrow is going to be eventful.

-----

Tomorrow is eventful.

Kakashi woke up to a nurse nudging him over and over and asking if he's seen where Obito was.

He sat up immediately and found no one on the bed on his other side.

His eye widened as the nurse ran to tell the Hokage of what was happening.

One thought remained in the Hatake's head. That dobe actually snuck out...!

-----

Obito minded his own business sitting atop a tree near the window of the room his past self and Kakashi was stationed in.

Everything was quiet until he heard the same window open and a dark figure stepped outside.

It jumped down to the ground, and looked around for anyone that seemed to be patrolling this time of night.

The Uchiha used his Sharingan and the identity of the figure made him sigh.

He continued to watch as his past self walked around cautiously.

The boy's Sharingan was activated as he snuck around as quietly as he could.

No civilian was out this night, so there was no civilian witness to be taken care of.

His past self walked and walked all the while quietly before getting seen by a Jonin guarding the entrance gate, judging from the vest.

He was about to attack, probably thinking his past self was an enemy nin before getting getting put into a small-time Genjutsu.

The man froze, and fell over face-first onto the pavement.

Maybe the Jonin is an inexperienced Shinobi, Obito thought, as only newbies would get that stoned by Genjutsus.

His past self now sailed smoothly through the trees outside the walls, and he disappeared into the night.

Smooth, he thought again. By tomorrow Rin wouldn't be so alone after all.

-----

It was afternoon now and the ninjas have yet to find the missing Uchiha.

The hospital became heavily guarded for the morning so no one was able to leave in case the Uchiha used a henge.

But once three struck in the clock Kakashi didn't waste any time either as he used his ninja clothing and gear and left out the front door of the Hospital.

Many Jonin and Chunin alike tried to stop him but he pushed them away and ran.

He swiftly put on his headband which solidifies his position as a Leaf ninja, in case anyone ever mistakes him for someone else.

His sensei was not fast enough to get to him or Obito before he, as well, fled through the gate and the trees beyond, jumping up branch to branch without a care in the world.

He did not want to do this, but that Uchiha gave him no choice in the matter.

He and Obito were told by their sensei of where the mission would take place, so a map was not needed as ninja don't tend to forget things easily.

Kakashi continued his stride.

That stupid idiot!

Only an hour left until sunset. The guard on the hospital only loosened upon the afternoon, so he could only make his move then. That's why he took so long to jump to action.

He continued his way, not at all taking a break, even after he was already meters away from Konoha's walls.

Leaving without permission from the village, and after having only one eye left... You've gone mad!

Kakashi's thoughts burned with anger and annoyance of Obito's stupidity.

But then again...

He sighed while stopping on a branch.

I'm following you.

He sighed again, before thinking back to Obito's speech before all this happened.

He opened the Sharingan eye that Obito gave him. It still had one tomoe.

I guess I'm stupid too.

Rin and her makeshift team of two other Chunins made their way towards a clearing.

It was already getting dark, and they could not stay in those trees.

Rin was getting worried as all three of them heard multiple rustles at once, all around them. But the other two stupidly decided to ignore it.

But just when they stepped foot on the clearing multiple masked Mist ninjas jumped down and circled around them.

The other two Chunins attempted to attack one of them, only to receive a kunai to the eye.

Her temporary teammate fell to the ground with a pitiful scream as the ninja finished him off with no mercy.

The other Chunin started to attack as well before another Mist ninja stopped him, but did not kill him.

"Wait! We are not here to kill you. We only want to negotiate with you." the masked ninja started, letting go of the Chunin's hand.

Rin stepped back, and felt something hit her back.

She turned around, finding out that she had bumped into another masked ninja.

The masked ninjas circled around the two of them but didn't make any offending movement.

"What do you want, then!?" the Chunin shouted at them. "If you just wanted to negotiate, why did you kill him!?"

The Chunin pointed at the corpse of the other Chunin, which was on the ground.

Rin didn't know these people, but she had to work with them as a team because they were the people assigned to the mission with her.

The masked ninjas looked at each other, before settling their gaze back to the Chunin.

"This is a one-man decision."
