"Man, I'm starved!" Tadashi groaned as the bell chimed for the end of class. "Let's go to Sakanoshita."
You smirked up at him amusedly. "Why, so you can get more free snacks?"
"Well, it's not my fault you keep offering," he shrugged.
"Since when have I been offering?" You scoffed, a laugh escaping your lips as you did. "You guys are the one who keep snatching stuff off the shelves and saying, 'just put it on my tab.' Keishin-nii's been nagging me nonstop that I'm gonna wind up cutting off his profits!"
"Fine," Tadashi sighed jokingly with an obviously exaggerated role of his eyes. "If you won't give me food, then I'll just have to settle for crummy vending machine snacks."
"You have fun with that," you chuckled, shaking your head slightly as he wandered off. "If you see Aiko-chan, tell her not to forget my coffee!" You called after him, causing him to wave in acknowledgement as he walked out the door. You let out a soft chuckle to yourself as you went back to your notebook, trying to cram in as much study time for physics as possible.
"Tutoring sessions are only before and after practice. Beat it," Tsukishima's voice had you glancing up from your notebook once again. Not many people talked to him during class, so it was strange to hear -- especially considering none of your classmates ever went to him for tutoring advice. He had a tendency to ruthlessly make fun of them for their lack of knowledge.
"Come on," Hinata's whining voice reached your ears, causing realization to hit you. You'd forgotten about the promise Tsukki had made to him after practice the other day. "Mr. Yoshita's not here, and I need to--"
"Terribly sorry," Tuskki interrupted, "but you'll have to come back during my regular business hours."
"You're such a jerk," you sighed and spun around in your seat to face them with a roll of your eyes at the bean pole's antagonistic nature only to find him with his headphones already secured over his ears.
"Wait, (L/N), you're in this class?!" Hinata gasped, causing you to raise a brow.
"Yeah, why? What's up?"
"I guess I just never thought you'd be in the college prep courses," Hinata shrugged. "I thought you only ever thought about volleyball like us. Wait, does this mean you're super smart, too?!" He gasped.
You laughed and leaned back in your chair. "Yeah, actually, believe it or not, I've got a little more than just volleyball on the brain," you responded light-heartedly. It's not like Hinata meant anything by it anyways; he just wasn't the best at phrasing his sentences correctly sometimes.
"Then can't you just tutor us?" Kageyama asked, tilting his head like a lost puppy, forcing you to stifle your laughter. It felt more than a little strange to see the domineering 'King of the Court' looking so pitiful.
You shifted the momentary chuckle into a soft smile and shook your head apologetically. "I'm really sorry, guys, but I've got my hands full already. Physics is kinda kicking my butt, and I already promised to help out Tadashi, Shittyshima, and--"
"I told you I don't need your help," Tsukki interrupted, clearly still able to hear you despite how he pretended to use his headphones to drown you out.
"And I told you I wasn't going to let your crummy attitude keep us down a player for Tokyo," you bit back calmly. "You and I both know your math grades aren't where they need to be, so stop being so moody." You quickly turned back to the other two. "And I also promised a few other classmates some help. I think Tadashi is out at the vending machines right now, though, if you wanna try asking him?"
