"Cutie-chan!" You grimaced and ducked your head, immediately averting your eyes from the Seijoh captain. "So this is what you meant by see you later! I didn't know you'd be the Karasuno manager!" Oikawa wrapped his arm around your shoulders, smiling down at you flirtatiously. Your team all blanched at once. He couldn't be serious, right?

Tanaka started growling to himself. He really didn't like this new guy. It was probably just the fact that he managed to get all the girls' attention just by walking into the gym, but there was definitely something that rubbed him the wrong way about the guy.

"Yeah, (L/N), why didn't you tell him you were the manager," Tsukishima snickered.

"Would you get your arm off of me please, Flattykawa?" You rolled your eyes, shoving his arm off. "And I'm not a manager. I'm a wing spiker."

"You're a..." Oikawa trailed off, staring at you. "Karasuno let a girl join the team?"

"I'm not a girl, jackass!" You snapped, stomping away from Oikawa and Tsukishimia, who was currently laughing so hard he almost snorted water out of his nose, to grab a quick drink.

"S-she's kidding, right?" Oikawa asked shakily.

"No, he's not," Daichi said firmly. "Now, I'd appreciate if you stopped harassing my teammate." Oikawa just nodded blankly, stumbling back to his own team's bench. He simply couldn't believe it. You had to be a girl! He'd had plenty of experience with girls; there's no way he would just accidentally mistake a boy for one. He shook his head. This wasn't important right now. For now, he just needed to warm up and see how you and your team played together. He'd figure all of this out later.

"Considering you all were so good at receiving my left-handed serve, let's try some new tactics," you chirped excitedly once the ball was handed to you. Your sharp eyes danced over the Seijoh lineup before landing on the bored-looking one with straight hair. With the way he'd been glancing at Kageyama all game long, it was more than likely that he was an old member of his team, which meant he was probably a first year. Plus, he didn't seem like the type to put in anymore effort than necessary. He would be your first target.

Oikawa furrowed his brows as his entire team seemed to hold their breath while you tossed the ball and made your approach. Was there something special about your serves that he didn't know about? His question was answered a second later as your feet left the ground. He could feel the breath being knocked out of him as time slowed down. It was absolutely incredible. He suddenly felt like an insignificant piece of prey before your eyes. He didn't like this feeling -- he only felt like this when he was standing in front of Ushiwaka. So how come you were able to make him feel the same way?

The ball sped past the lazy-looking first year and bounced inches past the out of bounds line.

"Oops!" You laughed, rubbing your neck in embarrassment. "That's the danger with changing up my serve; I always forget my strength when I go back. Oh well, we'll get them next time!" Ugh. It got on his nerves how unaffected you were by your own mistake. Shouldn't you be getting all frustrated and blaming yourself?

Before long, you all had managed to strengthen your lead until you were at match point. Unfortunately, for you all, though, that was the exact moment when Oikawa decided to finally join the game.

You frowned as you watched his face fall into a comfortable smirk, his eyes holding all the confidence in the world. If you weren't mistaken, he had his eye on a certain blonde asshole of yours.  And if your research on Oikawa had been even somewhat accurate, he would have no trouble targeting your classmate.

Just like you feared, Oikawa swung his arm down and sent an incredibly strong serve straight at Tsukishima, who was unable to receive it.

"I was just watching, but it looks like I was right. Number 6 and number 5, you guys must be first years! Your receives are terrible," the Seijoh captain chuckled humorlessly at your teammates' difficulties. You grit your teeth. You were expecting a challenge, but you weren't expecting that idiot that you met at the store to be this calculating. Then again, you supposed he wasn't the team captain for nothing. After all, it sure as hell couldn't have been his calm leadership which earned him that title.  Before you could do anything about it, Oikawa had sent another incredibly strong serve over and straight at Tsukishima.
