"Group up!"

Within a split second, everyone on the Karasuno team was facing Keishin as he stood before you with his hands on his hips.

"How'd we make out yesterday?" He glanced over at the manager.

"Today will be the third set we've played against Nekoma," Kiyoko responded calmly as she sifted through her notebook.  "Yesterday, we had two sets against them and lost them both 17-25 and 19-25."  You grit your teeth together and dug your nails into your palms at the reminder of your utter uselessness during yesterdays matches.  Still, though, that didn't matter anymore.  Because Hinata and Kageyama were back.  Today would be different.

"That just means we haven't won a set off them yet," Keishin interrupted, a smirk on his face.  "But if we calm down and give it all we've got, we should be able to give them a good challenge."  He paused a moment before looking back at the two first years standing beside you.  "Hey, this is the first Nekoma game for you two in a while, right?  Go out there and rough 'em up a little bit."

"Right!" They both responded in unison, causing a smile to drift onto your face.  Yeah, today would definitely be different, so long as they remained by your side.

You hung back for a few seconds after he dismissed everyone, bouncing on the balls of your feet with anticipation as the incoming match approached. "Hey, Keishin, you said we'd go back to Miyagi over the weekend, right?"  You asked, impatience rolling off you in waves.

"Yeah, yeah, don't worry; you'll be back with plenty of time to goof off at that kids' gym," he rolled his eyes, giving a shooing gesture.  You grinned and nodded in response.

The whistle blew, and the team jogged onto the court, standing opposed to the cats who'd gathered on the other side.  You were standing across from Yamamoto, who you sent a quick smile and wave to.  He immediately went sheet white, causing you to laugh out loud.  He'd been scared of you ever since  your first encounter, when you'd threatened him just a bit for calling you a manager, and it always brought you a lot of joy to mess with him about it.  It was even funnier to imagine what his reactions would've been like, had he known you were a girl.

The first set went pretty much exactly as one would expect, everything going along much more smoothly now that you actually had your starting lineup with you.  That is, until that grey-haired monster of a first year finally seemed to make his presence known.

Your feet hit the ground about a second after the ball smacked down behind Hinata.  Your teeth ground themselves together as your eyes drifted back to the tall, lanky cat.  You'd seen him plenty yesterday, and to be completely honest, you hadn't found him to be all too special of a player.  Aside from his height, he didn't really have all that much going for him.  He was easy to predict, and his receives were some of the worst you'd ever seen.  You hadn't thought he'd be giving you any trouble.  You had failed to take into account his reflexes, though.  Who'd have thought that someone that tall could move that quick, after all?  And for someone like Hinata, who lacked any technique in his play, that particular combination of overwhelming height and reflexes was especially lethal. They were right to replace that Inuoka guy with him.

What was his name again?  You remembered laughing when you first heard it, making some dumb joke about how it was fitting for a team with cats as their mascot.  Ah, that's right.

His name was Lev.

"Hinata, keep your head up.  It's nothing we haven't dealt with before, right?" You called, a wide smile on your face as you walked over to encourage him.  You froze midstep as that Lev kid caught your eye, though, smirking as he curled his fingers towards himself.
