Chapter 13

"Good morning, Agent Steel" Jarvis' voice pulls me out of my sleep and almost gives me a heart attack.

But the best thing was that I woke up in a warm hug and immediately I feel Loki's hand rubbing my back.

"Good morning" I say, keeping my eyes closed

"Agent Romanoff wanted me to inform you that she will be here in 5 minutes" Jarvis says

"Thank you Jarvis" I say.

I open my eyes and the first thing I see is Loki's blue eyes looking down at me.

"Good morning" he says. His low morning voice is even sexier than his normal one, if that's even possible.

"Good morning. I hate to break this but I'm sure you heard that Nat is coming. I forgot that yesterday we planned to have breakfast together" I say

"It's alright. How are you feeling today? Did you sleep well?" he says rubbing my cheek

"Yes, I'm feeling better. Thank you for that" I say and he smiles
"You? Did you get any sleep?" I ask

"I did. And I also did something else, I hope you don't mind" he says and squeezes my hand.

I sit up and I take the bandages off
"You healed me?" I ask surprised

"I also tried to improve your other problem, you know the dying by magic, but I didn't seem to--" he says but I kiss him before he could finish.

"Thank you" I say as I pull away

"My pleasure" he replies and kisses me.

"Agent Steel, Agent Romanoff is here" Jarvis says, interrupting us

"It's ok" Loki says

"Let her in, Jarvis" I say. We both get out of bed and I wear a robe over my pajamas while Loki uses magic to change in his black suit in a second.

"I really want to learn how to do this" I say and he chuckles

"Kate?" Nat calls

"Coming" I say
"You can't teleport, can you?" I ask

"Not without the Tesseract" he answers

"I'll have to teach you how to some time" I say

"Deal" he says and I smile.

I walk out of the bedroom and Loki follows me

"Wow. If I knew that you had company, I'd bring one more coffee" Nat says

"Good morning to you too, Agent Romanoff. Enjoy your breakfast ladies" Loki says and leaves my place.

"Spill" she says as soon as the door closes

"We didn't do anything. We just fell asleep together" I say and I take a sip of my coffee

"That's adorable" she says

"It... It was nice" I admit, not able to hide my smile

"I can tell" she says
"But do you really know what you're getting into?" she asks

"Honestly? No. But it's nothing serious. We still want to kill each other" I answer

"Yeah, sure" she says ironically.

"Did Fury notice that Loki was here?" I ask

"No, he must have left one of his fake ones in his room" she answers and I nod.
"Look, I don't want to ruin whatever there is between you--" she says

"Nothing is going on between us. Continue" I repeat

"Whatever. I don't trust Loki" she says

"Me neither" I admit
