As I wake up, I feel Loki's fingers brushing my hair softly. I open my eyes and I see him smiling.
"Good morning" he whispers
"Good morning. For how long have you been watching me sleep?" I ask
"I am not sure but it's been a while" he answers
"You're so calm when you're asleep, without worries. You're so beautiful" he adds as he rubs my cheek.
I smile and I am sure I'm blushing.
"I love you" I say
"I love you more" he says and kisses my lips.
We pull away and I snuggle next to him. But then I sign
"What's wrong?" Loki asks
"Do you ever feel tired of all the fights, and wars?" I ask
"I have" he answers
"And what did you do?" I ask
"I decided to stay with you. Take the chance to something different" he answers
"Why are you asking?" he asks
"Because I am tired and I just want to stay here, in the quiet, with you" I say
"We can stay here for as long as you want" he replies
"Really?" I ask, sitting up to look at him
"Of course. I've already suggested it to you a few days ago" he answers
"What about Odin?" I ask
"Oh just ignore him. Nothing bad is gonna happen to you here. And if someone wants to even get close to you, they'll have to come through me" he says and kisses my hand
"And if I agree to that, what are we gonna do here?" I ask
"We will live together however and wherever we want, in case you don't want to stay in the palace. We can make our own home together and it will be you and me without any disturbances from assassins or mad titans. Unless, of course, something little decides to join us..." he says and places his hand on my stomach
"I thought you said you weren't father material. And we've been together for what? Two weeks? And you're already talking about kids?" I ask
"I see a life with you, Katelyn. I want a life with you, a family, the whole experience" he says rubbing my cheek
"And you'd give up all this for me?" I ask shocked
"In a blink of an eye" he answers immediately.
I try to blink away the tears in my eyes before I say anything but it wasn't working.
"I never thought I'd have that, you know" I admit
"Then you better believe it soon because it's real" he says and kisses me. I hug him tightly and he hugs me back.
Being in his arms, surrounded by his scent is the best feeling ever. It almost calms me down and I can't get enough of it. I got want to ever let go of it.
He doesn't pull away from the hug until I do. I hold his face in my hands and I look him in the eyes
"I would love nothing more than to stay here with you, forever and I will fight anyone that will try to stop us" I say
"You won't have to. I will fight them off for you" he says, brushing the hairs out of my face and putting them behind my ear
"You can finally relax and rest now" he adds.
More tears form in my eyes and he notices it
"Hey, hey, it's ok" he says and hugs me.
"I'm sorry, it's just all the exhaustion coming out now" I apologize
"It's alright" he replies, rubbing my back.
"I love you so much" I say
"I love you more and I'll give up everything if it means a life with you" he says.
