An hour later, I made my way to the cell room. I stop in front of the door and I spit in my palm the cooper coin that I was sucking. But Fury stops me before I go in.
"Did you drink?" he asks
"What? No" I answer
"Agent Steel, I know that Romanoff sneaks in alcohol. Did you drink?" he asks
"I'm not drunk Fury" I say.
He nods and pulls out a breathalyzer.
"Really?" I ask and he just holds it in my face. I sign and I blow. The light turns green.
"What did you do?" he asks
"Nothing" I answer.
He starts looking in my pockets and finds the copper coin.
"Look at that, the witch is doing the coin trick in order to beat the breathalyzer. Nice try" he says
"Ok, fine, I drank but I'm not drunk. I have a high tolerance" I insist
"I don't care. Go to your room, we're doing this tomorrow" he says
"My room?" I ask
"Number 31" he says and tosses me the card key
"You better have metabolized all that alcohol by tomorrow morning and start taking this seriously" he adds and walks away.
I look at the card and I go to find my room. Natasha is in the 28th room so I head that way, hoping that mine will be somewhere close to it.
I was paying attention to the room numbers and didn't notice a person that was coming towards me until we bumped into each other.
"Katelyn..." he says catching me
"Thor..." I say as I stand up straight again
"I can explain but in private so first let's find my room" I add.
As soon as I close the door behind me, he starts
"You stole the Casket of Ancient Winters from Odin's vault, you killed my brother and now you two were intimate" he says
"I know and I'm sorry. First, I needed the Casket for something... personal. Second, your brother seems pretty alive to me right now. And third, it's none of your business" I say.
He pushes me to the wall and puts his hammer on my neck
"I see that all Asgardians have the same manners" I admit
"The Casket, what did you do with it?" he asks
"I used it. Better than just sitting there and dusting in Odin's vault" I answer
"What did you do with it?" he asks
"I drained it, got its power. It was very exciting" I answer smiling
"What?" he asks confused as he lets go of me
"Remember that it was glowing blue? Now it doesn't glow anymore. It's empty. Like Loki's magic is green, my powers used to be red, but..." I say as I let my hand glow and I show it to him
"Red and blue make purple" I add
"So you stole it in order to become more powerful? You are just like my brother" he says
"Maybe. But the charge it gave me, is starting to fade. That's why I wanted the Tesseract but here I am, giving it to Fury. Doing the right thing" I say
"And why the sudden change?" he asks.
"Look, it's a long story and I'm tired. I am sorry for everything. But can we continue this interrogation tomorrow?" I ask, trying to avoid the subject
"Loki mentioned that you are scared. Is that why?" he asks
"Loki doesn't know what he's talking about, no offense" I answer immediately
"And he is hiding something. He is not ok. Something happened to him before he came to Earth and I want to get to the bottom of it" I explain
"So can we please let the past to the past and focus on that right now?" I ask
