auror

Sage sat in transfiguration class as McGonagall wrapped up their lesson for the day. As Sage gathered her stuff McGonagall approached her "Miss Lupin?" McGonagall questioned.

Sage looked up and smiled "Hello Professor," Sage said.

"I know you're just shy of 15 but have you decided what you wanna do... after Hogwarts?" McGonagall asked.

Sage shook her head slowly, "No not yet, why?" She asked.

"Well, the ministry has asked for some recommended students for auror training once they graduate. They've been thinking about doing some early training. Apparently, they think they might need more at the rate auror's are disappearing. I recommended you Mr. Potter and Mr. Diggory, if you are interested," McGonagall explained.

Sage shrugged "I'll think about it, thank you, Professor," Sage said before exiting the classroom and walking to the great hall.

Sage went to walk to the Gryffindor table but was stopped by Fleur Delacour, who she had recently befriended "Sage!" Fleur called, making her turn towards the veela. "You should join us at ve table,"

Sage bit her lip before nodding "Okay let's go," Sage responded and followed Fleur over to the Ravenclaw table where she was sitting by Roger Davies and Cho Chang.

Sage took a seat next to Cho, "Hey Lupin," Roger greeted, "Trying out again next year?"

Roger Davies also was a keeper for Ravenclaw, the two had always gotten along despite Gryffindor nearly always beating Ravenclaw, but now Roger was a 7th year and would graduate soon. "Plan on it," Sage responded.

Cho Chang smiled "Hopefully we can find a keeper next year," she admitted. Cho was a seeker, "No one else seems all that interested,"

"What is ve quidditch?" Fleur asked, her French accent thick.

"Quidditch is a sport we play at Hogwarts," Sage explained, "There's one keeper, one seeker, 3 chasers and two beaters,"

Roger, Cho, and Sage explained the rest of the game to Fleur who just nodded along. "Sounds fun," she complimented.

Sage nodded "Too bad they didn't have it this year. We could show you what an actual game looks like," Sage said.

Cho nodded but Sage saw her eyeing at the Hufflepuff table where Cedric Diggory was sitting. Sage smiled at the girl, she had never been close to Cho, but the few times they talked she was always nice, she was also a good quidditch player. "Nervous about the third task?" Roger asked.

Fleur bit her lip "I'm not gonna win," she said, "Vey should just let me out of it,"

Sage shrugged "Yeah but you committed," Sage pointed out which made Fleur nod.

"Your friend what was it? Ron," Fleur started, "When he asked me to ve ball, I would have said yes but he uh just run off,"

Sage chuckled before nodding "Yeah well he's like that," Sage answered, "He panicked, thought he made a fool of himself,"

"He did scare me a little," Fleur admitted, "I'm into redheads specifically,"

Sage smiled "Well that's good, Ron's family has 5 other men to choose from," she joked "Charming family actually, been helping raise me since my parents abandoned me,"

"Your parents?" Fleur questioned, "What happened?"

"I guess they just abandoned me, my adoptive father took care of me ever since then," Sage explained.

"Her father is pretty cool though," Roger said, "He taught here last year, one of our best defense against the dark arts professors,"

Sage smiled "Since I've been here there isn't much to compare to," Sage joked.

Cho nodded "That's true," she agreed.

Fleur shrugged "I vink Beauxbatons has some nice professors, it's a very organized school," Fleur explained. "Lots of rules, very proper,"

Sage shrugged "We have rules here, but Headmaster Dumbledore wants us to have fun I assume," Sage explained. As she ate dinner with the Ravenclaw's it came to an end.

She said goodbye to her Ravenclaw friends before she walked to the Gryffindor common room. As she walked into the girl's dormitory Lavender, Elizabeth, and Parvati were chatting quietly and Hermione was reading. Sage took a seat on her bed and the girls settled down so they could get some rest.

The Next Day

Sage woke up and put her robe back on, tying her Gryffindor tie, before she made her way to the great hall to enjoy breakfast.

The third task was in a few days and the champions were trying their best to prepare with zero clues on what was to come.

But Sage never expected she would have to prepare for the pain and lies that were about to happen.

Sage sat down at the Gryffindor table with Seamus and Dean. But she was still thinking about McGonagall's offer about auror training. She wasn't sure if she wanted to be an auror. There was so much more she wanted to do, if she and Draco were still together, maybe she just wanted to settle down for him.

But hunting down dark witches and wizards that have hurt her and people she loves sounded like a good career, but she wasn't sure what she wanted to do in her future.
