missing

Sage rubbed the back of her neck as she sat at the Gryffindor table. Seamus and Dean were approaching her. She hadn't talked to either of them since the day Harry attacked Draco.

She felt as if she was right in the situation, worrying about her boyfriend, but she also believed she dramatized it a tad bit.

Seamus and Dean both sat across from her and Sage looked up at them. "Look, I'm sorry Sage... I know you were worried about Draco, but I was worried about you," Seamus explained. "We don't know who we can trust..."

"We can trust Draco," Sage said, trying her best to sound confident.

"Really?" Seamus asked, noting her hesitation in the answer.

Sage bit her lip "Yes, I'm positive," she said. She knew he was a death eater, they didn't, but she also knew he was forced, I mean she was practically becoming one as well, only for Dumbledore.

Seamus raised an eyebrow, but Dean nudged him in a way to convince him not to say anything else about it. "Okay," Is all Seamus said. Before the group could speak up about anything else. A worrisome Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore walked up in front of the Great Hall. Everyone began to quiet down.

After a few moments, Dumbledore stepped closer to the students. "I have some unfortunate news to present to you all. We have officially reported a student missing and if any of you have any idea of maybe what happened, we need that report," Dumbledore explained, "Elizabeth Callier, a sixth-year Gryffindor hasn't been seen in the last few days, we had all staff looking out for her and prefect's as well, no one has seen her,"

Sage frowned, her eyes glancing over at her friends. Elizabeth was a friend and always had been. What if Draco was the cause?

McGonagall stepped up "Hello, we want you to know we're doing everything in our power to find her. Her parents have been contacted and we'll bring her back here, I promise you that,"

Sage looked across at Draco, whose eyes met hers. He slowly shook his head, like he knew what she was thinking. Dumbledore and McGonagall made their way back to the staff table.

"How is this even possible..." Sage mumbled, looking at Seamus and Dean.

"It's crazy..." Seamus said and sighed, "Things have been crazy recently,"

Dean nodded "He's right, the war is around the corner... I can feel it," Dean said.

They all stayed silent, because they knew deep down Dean was probably right.

A few days later

Sage pushed open the door to The Three Broomsticks. She was meeting Draco, and she hoped she could bring up Elizabeth. She didn't wanna anger Draco although.

Draco was sitting at a table messing with a cup of butterbeer. He looked up with a smile as she sat down across from him. "Hello," he said.

Sage smiled "Hey," she said, looking at him. "How are you?"

He shrugged, "I'm alright, and you?" He asked.

She nodded "I'm good," she said, "Little hectic about everything with Elizabeth."

Draco looked up at Sage and nodded "It's understandable, I'm sorry about it, I know you guys were friends," he said and reached over to take her hand, which Sage accepted.

Sage looked back up at him "Yeah it is..." she said hesitantly.

"Do you... you think I had something to do with this?" He asked, hearing the hesitation in her voice.

"Did you?" She asked.

Draco shook his head quickly, "No, no of course not. I had no reason to hurt her," he defended quickly.

"Just like you didn't have a reason to curse Katie?" She pointed out.

Draco stared at her "You know very well that was an accident, it was supposed to be..." Draco started.

Sage cut him off "Dumbledore?" She interrupted, "Okay but you still cursed Katie, and maybe now you're the reason Elizabeth is missing."

Draco rolled her eyes "I'm your boyfriend you're supposed to be on my side, remember?" He snapped.

"What the side of you who's hurting innocent people?" Sage asked.

Draco sighed, "Not everyone is as innocent as you think they are," he said, "But I can promise you I didn't do anything to Callier,"

"Elizabeth," Sage corrected.

"Fine, I can promise you I didn't do anything to Elizabeth," he told her. "I promise Sage, I had nothing to do with it."

Sage looked up at him and sighed. "Okay... okay I'm sorry I believe you," she said. But she wasn't sure, but she hoped she was making the right choice.

Draco sighed "It's okay..." he said quietly and looked at her, "I love you and that's what matters right now."

Sage nodded, smiling slightly "I love you too..." she said quietly.

All Sage wanted was a life with Draco and for Elizabeth to return safely.

That's all she hoped for...
