She hears the rain fall to the ground,
Like a melody, a beautiful sound.
Her corpse is cold, she’s crying out loud,
But nobody hears, no one is proud.
She sees a shadow, without a light,
If only he could be her knight.
But this is not some fairy tale,
Her expectations have always failed.
She focuses on the brightness from a far
Like a hurricane within the stars.
Pretending he’s not there to see,
This broken girl, who cannot flee.
She feels the warmth, of arms around her,
His sweet, tender breath, feels like fire.
A vast sea of sapphire as eyes,
A face she’ll remember, till the day she dies.
Betrayed by her body, she embraces his comfort,
Her yearning for fidelity, she must avert.
His sincere smile, omits her deliberation,
She stares back at him, with admiration.
Deep inside she’s waiting for the moment,
Where he snaps and begins her torment.
But then she’ll fly away to her fantasy,
Numbing her body with infinite ecstasy.
Just when she felt her path was bleak.
She heard the voice of an angel speak.
As though she’s precious, he strokes her face
“Don’t you worry, love, life falls into place”
For once in her life she was handled with care,
She felt loved, a feeling beyond compare.
With that voice, her heavy eyes fell,
And a part of her life she could never tell.
