Layla woke me up at 5:00 AM on Monday. We didn't have to leave until 7:00. How long was my "New Life Makeover" going to last? She however was completely ready. Hair, makeup, clothes, accessories, backpack.

She picked out my outfit. We wear uniforms. Why is she picking out my uniform? Then she did my makeup lightly and my hair in a half up half down style. I was "required" to wear some sort of jewelry and I settled on a small diamond cross bracelet, necklace, and earring set.

"You're perfect now!" Layla exclaimed.

Great confidence booster.
"Thanks sis." I said.

"Are you ladies done yet? I gotta take a shower!" Will said.

I walked out, and Layla drove me to school. We didn't even bother waiting for Will because he took forever to get ready.

I was so nervous that I had to sit and wait in the car for a few minutes until my hands stopped visibly shaking.

"So THIS is how I felt in kindergarten. New people, new school."

Layla was gone. Will pulled up next to us and he left too. 6:45. If I was going to find my class in time, I needed to get going now. I was still shaking but I didn't want to be that kid on the first day.

I was a pretty academically-achieved person, so naturally (for me at least) I was in all advanced classes.

Trigonometry, then Biology, then English 3. I also had a side class that would change each semester. That was world history. Then my elective was acting. It seems like a lot to tackle, but anything to keep me busy.

My first class was very small. Not many people choose to take Trig until they have to I guess.

When I walked in, it felt like everyone's eyes were on me.
Uh-oh. Not good in my case. I found a seat in the very back of the class.

"Okay, everyone. We have a new student today, Grace Tacker. Would you like to introduce yourself?" Mr. Simmons said.

First class and I was already wanting to get swallowed up by the earth.

I stood up regardless what I thought. "Okay. Ummm, My name is Grace Tacker. I came from a small school in Tennessee and my dad just got a job as a director for some big movie." Not much to my life...

"Okay. Let's get started. Taylor, could you make sure that Miss Tacker is caught up?"

"Yes sir." Said the girl I'm assuming is Taylor. She looked so much like Emma from back home that I almost cried right there on the spot.

She tried to get me caught up but truth is, I knew exactly what we were doing. I just did the worksheets we were handed and tried to fit in as much as possible.

Well, it's kind of hard to fit in when everyone is turning back to look at you like you were the undead.
