The second my eyes opened, I could already feel they were swollen and sore from the amount I cried last night. I carefully removed myself from our bed so I didn't wake up Mia. I quietly walked to the restroom and then used it. I just want her to sleep as much as possible because of everything she's been through lately. I hope she didn't have any nightmares because of me. I washed my hands, my face and brushed my teeth before exiting the bathroom. I made sure to grab my phone on the way out of the bedroom so I could contact Agatha soon. I need to take another couple of days off.

I'm so fucking pissed at myself for breaking down when Mia and I cuddled. I wasn't strong enough to hold back my emotions... Whenever we looked into each other's eyes yesterday, I didn't see the love in them that I usually would, and it just broke my heart... Then, when I wrapped my arms around her, everything overwhelmed me, and I could even feel that she wasn't the same person... I'm not holding it against her; not at all, and I never will. I was honestly so glad to hold her. I'm just so terrified that she'll never regain her memories, and I'm trying so goddamn hard to be strong around her, but... it has been the hardest thing I ever had to do... I absolutely hate it.

When I reached the living room, I sat down on the couch and dialed Mrs. Knight's phone number. It took two rings before she answered. "Hey, Cambria. How are you doing? How's Mia?"

"I'm okay, and I think Mia's doing okay given everything that has happened to her. She seems to be accepting what I've told her so far, so that's good. How are you and Eleanor?" I asked her.

"Oh, we're fine, dear. Don't worry about us right now. You need to focus your energies on Mia," She replied, and I nodded, even though she couldn't see it.

"You're right. I am and will. I was calling to ask if it was okay that I took some extra time off? If it's a problem, I will come in, of course," I questioned.

"You can take all the time you need, Cambria. I have spoken with Mr. Ivy and informed him of the situation; you're good," Agatha explained, confirming that I could take more time off, and I was honestly relieved.

"Thank you very much. It means a lot that you both are so understanding, especially since I was recently given the promotion," I expressed, and she hummed in agreement.

"If you need anything, you know where to find me, okay?" Mrs. Knight said.

"Yes, thank you. Have a great day, Agatha," I added.

"You too, Cambria," She finished and hung up the call.

I placed my phone on the coffee table and took a couple of deep breaths letting my mind wander. Shit, that's right. I need to find our proposal video to show Mia. I got up from the couch as soon as that thought crossed my mind. I strolled towards our entertainment center, where our DVDs were located. I opened the glass cabinet, searching, and since Mia organized everything in it, I found the DVD very easily and returned to the couch.

As soon as I returned to the couch, the bedroom door opened, and Mia walked over to me. I turned my attention to her when she asked me, "Good morning, Bri. What's that you're holding?"

"It's our proposal video; I found it for us to watch."

"Oh, can we watch it now?" She questioned, and I gave her my answer by nodding. Then, I stood up from the couch, went to the PS4, and inserted the disc.

"You ready?" I asked her.

"Most definitely," My girl replied. When I pressed play, I noticed she was very excited to see it as she gave the television her full attention.

Ten minutes into the video, I became an emotional mess, and I tried so damn hard to compose myself. However, when Mia began her proposal speech to me, I got completely choked up. As soon as my girl started to speak those beautiful words on the video, I had to do something else. I stood up, walked into the kitchen, and decided to make us a quick bite to eat. If I hadn't distracted myself, I wouldn't have been able to maintain whatever composure was left in me.
