Chapter 22: It is a trap

- Human!

- We brought your food.

After Cale finished speaking, the 3 children arrived with enough food to feed a dozen people. Stunned, Cale looks behind Raon and notices how the elves that do not pass from the entrance to the garden, are on their knees and seem to be praying.

- These people are so nice, they got all of this for us in no time!

"I think we better get out of here fast"

- Eruhaben-nim, will you come with us or do you want to stay?

Eruhaben turned toward the entrance and saw how the elves reacted immediately to that single movement, then a chill ran down his spine. In all these years he did not get used to the extreme admiration of the elves.

- My lair has been destroyed, I guess I have no choice.

Cale smiles slightly.

- Well, I'll make sure you feel comfortable while you finish recovering.

Eruhaben ignored Cale who looked pleased and then looked at the little dragon serving him all kinds of food.

- A dragon serving a human, in my thousand years of life I never saw anything like it

-My human is very weak; he must eat well or he will become weaker.

- That's not a reason for you to feed him, don't you have the dignity of a dragon?

- I am a great and mighty dragon!

- You really think that?

- My human told me!

Eruhaben questions Cale with his gaze to which he just shrugs.

-He is a great and mighty dragon.

Cale confirms Raon's words and Raon flaps his wings and looks at Eruhaben proudly and defiantly. It is obvious that he is showing off the compliments received, so Eruhaben just sighs and decides not to continue the discussion.

The golden dragon thinks that the warmth in Cale's eyes is not directed at him, but towards his version of the other world, but it seems different with the black dragon and the kittens, the affection in his gaze is genuine, no one can say that it is a usurped affection. The golden dragon is curious, never in his life did he imagine that he would be loved by a human or vice versa, but the other version of him allowed it.

For his part, Cale is about to leave this place. So, with his plan of a quiet farewell that ended in failure, Cale and the others finally leave the elven village on the mountain of the 10 fingers and arrive at the super Rock village.

- What a peculiar place, I guess I can stay here until the war is over.

-You can stay here as long as you want, if you need something you just have to say it.

- Well, I don't have much time left anyway, if I can live to the end of the first battle it will be a miracle.

Cale flinched at Eruhaben's words, due to his fight with the white star, his remaining time has been greatly reduced.

Eruhaben doesn't know if this person is too brave or too stupid. From what Cale has told him, the approaching war against the individual who tried to assassinate him will be decisive for the future of the world, yet he does not intend to use him. Getting him recover and keeping him alive seems to be more important than finding a powerful ally; of course, considering that he was an ancient dragon it was completely ridiculous.

Alberu was silent for a moment, he is aware that Cale knows some future events, but it is still surprising and it is even more when he talks such information as if it were something simply natural.
