Chapter nineteen

Layla's POV:

"He hasn't called me all day" I sucked my teeth while my cousin Taylor laughed. "Girl bye let him enjoy his time with his kids"

"You're right... he should enjoy this while they're still here" I smiled. "I know you didn't just threaten his kids lives" Taylor said giving me a terrified look.

"Yeah I did and I will tell him to his face" I shrugged.

The problem with people now is that they think I'm scared of Kentrell. I fear no man, not even him. If he keeps playing and not answering his phone then he's gonna be a father of only sons.

"You're honestly hell" Taylor shook her head, "Girl you was just supporting me a few days ago"

"I wasn't supporting shit, I just listen to you talk about what ever so you wouldn't feel alone but threatening to kill a child is terrible. You wouldn't want anybody talking about your child that way-"

"yeah cause ain't nobody finna touch my baby" I cut her off by rubbing my baby bump. "Ok so why you wanna hurt one of his?"

"So he can feel the pain I felt when he murdered Danielle" I shrugged and Taylor laughed. "what's so funny?"

"You ain't even like Danielle" she laughed and I rolled my eyes. "She was my niece and I loved her"

"Layla...you treated her like shit"

"Out of love" I smiled and Taylor shook her head before grabbing her purse. "Where you going?"

"Home"

"Why?"

"Layla I have a family of my own and a boyfriend who is getting off of work soon to come home with me. I can't stand here and listen to you go on and on about a nigga who is happily married-"

"If he was happy he wouldn't have cheated on her with me"

"Layla everyone makes mistakes! You don't know what they were going through. You're a homewrecker Layla and karma is gonna come back and bite you in the ass" Taylor said before walking out the front door and I rolled my eyes before getting up to lock the door.

She'll be back-

I got cut off by a knock on the door. I walked back over and unlocked it. "I knew you would be bac- Tossii" I said seeing my ex standing at the door. "How's my kid?" He asked and a lump formed in my throat.

Kentrell's POV:

"Daddy"

"Yes princess?" I sat Kailani on my lap. "You wanna play game?" She asked. "What game?"

"Umm...hide and seek" she smiled. "How about we play tomorrow, I wanna show you something" I said and pulled out my phone going to some old pictures of me and Madison.

"That's mommy" she smiled and I nodded. "That's mommy at one of my shoes" I said and she smiled looking at the phone.

"This is mommy at the beach" I said showing her another picture. "Mommy pretty" Kailani said and I nodded smiling. "She's beautiful just like you" I kissed Kailani's cheek.

"Daddy?"

"Yes?"

"Do you miss mommy?" She asked and I tightened my grip on her lap.

|Flashback - Two years ago|
Omniscient POV:

"Kentrell oh my god moveee" Madison whined and Kentrell laughed. "I love you more than anything you know" Kentrell said and Madison smiled at him.

"I love you too"

"Promise me you ain't going anywhere"

"Kentrell I promise you that I'm not leaving you. No matter what we go through, my heart is always going to belong to you" Madison assured Kentrell.

"Corny ass shit" Kentrell said pulling Madison onto his lap and she laughed. "You know what I should've told you I was leaving" Madison waved him off and Kentrell sucked his teeth.

"You know I ain't letting you go nowhere"

"Oh really?" Madison smiled, "Hell yeah, you been mines the day you walked in that front door looking fine as fuck" Kentrell kissed Madison's neck and she smiled.

"I love you Kentrell"

"I love you too Mads"

"Sorry Lani...yeah I miss her....more than you could ever imagine"
