{POV: Shane}

Timeskip to Saturday

I woke up to Jas laying on top of me. The alarm clock was beeping, so it woke her up along with me. 

"Mh.. Uncle..?"

I smiled softly. "..I'm right here." I'm rude to anyone I see, even Marnie. But.. I can't have an attitude with Jas. She looks up to me..even when I'm down in the dumps. I'm her fatherly figure.. anyways, I sat up slowly, and gently moved Jas to the side.

I looked at the clock on my wall. It was 9:00 AM. Then, my body started begging for a drink this early. I couldn't. Jas is right there. I stood up. I was about to get ready for work, but realized it was Saturday. I didn't have any work.

After Jas left, I got into my usual outfit. Agh, my hangover was so intense.. My body is screaming for a drink. I have to wait 3 hours to get a drink.. we ran out over here. I decided to head to Pierre's General Store. 

I sighed and walked into the actual house area. I saw Emily and George praying to Yoba in Yoba's altar. I've never been religious.. I'm an atheist. I don't believe in Yoba, but I still say things like Oh My Yoba, Thank Yoba, Yoba, etc.

I ran a hand through my dark hair, and then realized it was 12 PM. I ran to the Stardrop Saloon, and ordered a beer. I knew that one would turn into two, two into three, three into- You get the point.

I started drinking my beer. As I soon felt numb, I turned my attention towards the arcade and noticed Abigail, Sebastian, and Sam having fun together. The amount of goddamn money I would pay to feel even just a gram of happiness once again..

I sighed, and then realized I promised Jas that I would spend time with her tonight. Shit.. I'm such a fucking asshole. I can't even spend time with my own goddaughter.. Then.. I just kept drinking. I just feel.. empty. I don't even have any room for emotions.

After awhile, I got up and walked out of the saloon. Marnie was standing outside of the Stardrop Saloon, waiting for me.

"So.. Shane. I thought you said you wouldn't drink anymore." My heart dropped.

"U-uh.. it's my choice!"

"And? You promised! I thought you would be so successful in life.. I was wrong. Why do you do this, Shane!? You're Jas' father!"

"She's not mine! I'm not even fucking related to her!" As soon as I said that, I was filled with regret.

"She is! You have custody over her! I'm fucking done with you.." Marnie.. never curses. She is way past being angry. Then, she walked off.

I sighed, and even considered going back into the bar. I checked my watch. It was already 11:30 PM. I walked back to Cindersnap Forest, and sat down at the edge of the dock. Then.. I just cried. I looked beside me, and flinched.

"Who the f-" I realized it was one of the new farmers. 

"Hey. You seemed lonely. I thought you needed some company. No-one likes to be alone."

"Well, guess what? I wanna be alone right now. Now, go piss off."

"Hm, okay." She stood up and simply walked off like I asked them to.

{POV: Y/N 2}

I was behind a tree in Cindersnap Forest. I watched all of that happen. Since he wanted them to go, maybe he'll want me. Just as I thought that, he got up and walked away. 

Instead of waiting till he wakes up, I made my way back to the farm. I walked into my house, changed, and simply went to sleep.
