"Parker....what the hell am I doing?" Narc whispered.

"Like I said, no clue man..." he replied softly.

....
Narc then proceeded to turn around to walk near the corner of the door to grab something.

Parker heard the flick of a pocket knife opening.
"N-Narc, you don't have to do this, we can still talk this ou-"

He stopped talking once they grabbed ahold of the rope on his legs, quick but carefully, they ripped through the rope with the sharp blade.
Narc then moved onto the ones that kept his arms tightly in place.

Just like that, Parker was free. Free to attack, free to run away....
...
but he just sat there.

Narc tilts their head sideways, "Well? Go free, Parker."

"No...no, Narc, I still need Chester back." Parker stutters, quickly standing to his feet.

Narc chews on their bottom lip nervously, kicking at the ground.
"I know..."

"Alright...so go get him." He huffed, patting all the dust off of his clothes.

Narc's expression softens, a small smirk suddenly forms on their lips.

"If only it were that easy, Parker...." They quietly chuckle.

He raises an eyebrow, not really understanding what they were trying to say.

"Dude, what do you mean? Stop talking in riddles and just tell me already!" Parker mumbled in annoyance, crossing his arms.

Narc took a deep breath before sitting down on the floor, slowly rocking back and forth.
"You see, taking full control of someone comes with a price, Parker. It means....you can't necessarily get them back...unless you take extreme action."

"What...exactly does that mean then?" He slowly asks, focusing on Narc's sad expression.

"It means...I'll have to destroy what originally trapped him there in the first place." Narc muttered.

"Okay well, that doesn't sound too bad. Your talking about getting rid of your mothers powers, right? I'm sure you can handle that." Parker smirked, expecting a laugh to leave Narc's throat.

But all he could see was that same frown stuck on their face.

"Narc...?"

"Parker, my mom wasn't exactly the only one who trapped him there...."

....
No.
..........
No...!

NO!!!!

"Narc?! Your not telling me..." Parker couldn't even finish his sentence. A million emotions smacked him in the face all in one go.

He could feel tears blind his eyesight as he tried to find any kind of expression on Narc's face that indicated they were joking.

But....

All he found was a small, soft, and friendly smile.
Accepting eyes gleamed into his own, but what was Narc accepting?

....

Narc was accepting their fate.

"I think I know what my new mission is, Parker." They laugh, though it wasn't a crazy laugh....
it was...genuine.

Parker then did something that he swore on his life that he would NEVER do...something that he had never even thought about doing before....

He pulled Narc in for a hug....

for the first, and last time.
