Surprisingly, Chester was still next to him in the morning, sleeping soundly.

It's only been a few days since this whole demon thing started happening, but he's honestly missed waking up to Chester's stupid, peaceful face every morning.

Now unfortunately for him, he couldn't really move. Chester was literally on top of him, his face buried in the crook of Parker's neck.

"Oh, come on..." Parker mumbles, trying to push the other gently off.

Pushing his body only caused Chester to make a tiny noise, pulling him closer.

"Nooo....dude..." Parker rolls his eyes, contemplating if he should just wake him up.

He didn't want to wake up the wrong person, though. He didn't have the patience to look after Narc this morning....

So Parker just lays there, gently messing around with Chester's hair.

Soon enough, he could start to hear Chester waking up, mumbling something quietly.

"Chester...?" Parker asks, praying under his breath that it's actually him.

"G'mornin...." Chester slurs, lazily opening his eyes.

Parker sighs in relief, huffing quietly.

"I don't think I've ever been this happy to see you wake up without being horribly possessed!" Parker smiles, bringing him in for a hug.

Chester is taken aback, lightly giggling, "Yeah....it's nice to wake up to you again and not in a bathroom..."

"Wait, didn't Narc say that they wanted the mornings or something?" Parker asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Welll....I sort of convinced them to give me back my mornings." Chester smiles, pulling away from the hug to kiss at Parker's jawline.

"Really? How?"

"I just played tag with them until I won. Dude, do you know how FAST they can run in the dream world?!" Chester exclaims, slamming down his hands onto Parker's shoulders, shaking him.

"Uhhhh...how did you even win?" Parker asks, hoping he didn't make another deal.

"Narc tripped over on a plank wood. I think they shattered their leg, but I still tagged them!" Chester smirks rather proudly.

"WHAT."

The rest of the morning was pretty natural. Parker's lower half finally started to feel better, thankfully.

Though Chester feels like Parker might be plotting a revenge plan, but he doubts that would ever actually happen.

Right?
...
Right.

Parker has been keeping his eye on the backyard, making sure nothing suddenly pops out from the ground.

Chester was pretty nervous as well, considering he could still be in the real world when these goop monsters do revive themselves.

"So...do you see anything interesting?" Chester asks, leaning over the counter table.

"Nah...not a thing..." Parker mumbles back.

Chester just hums in response, opening the fridge to find something good to eat.

"Dude, we need to go grocery shopping soon, I think like...half of these things are expired-"

"WHOA!" Parker yells, backing up a few steps, his eyes widening.

"What?? Can you really not accept going grocery shopping this week?" Chester jokes, closing the fridge door once he gets a look at Parker's concerned face.

"Dude, look! What the hell IS THAT?!" Parker points towards the backyard.

Upon closer examination....
there seems to be a hand sticking out of the ground.
....
Oh boy.
