57 - Van's POV

There she is. The woman who captured my heart.

"Van Royce Rodriguez, you're one lucky man." I whispered to myself.

Nakasunod lang ang tingin ko kay Era habang inaalalayan siya ng dalawang kaibigan na sina Mavianna at Deann papasok sa casa. Era is laughing nervously maybe because she doesn't know what is happening around her. She's blindfolded as part of my plan to surprise her.

"Ano ba kasing trip niyong dalawa?" natatawang tanong ni Era. "Bridal shower na ba 'to? Ang advance ha. Hindi ko pa nga boyfriend si Van!"

I stopped the urge to laugh. This woman is really something else.

Hindi siya sinagot ng mga kaibigan niya na natatawa na lang rin habang palapit sa'kin.

"Delivered." Mavianna and Deann said in unison before handling Era's hand to me. Magkakaibigan nga sila. No doubt.

"Ano bang ka--"

"Order received." I said, stopping Era and earning a grin from her friends.

I felt Era stiffened when she heard my voice. Cat got your tongue, huh.

So cute.

I mouthed thanks to her friends and both of them gave me a two thumbs up before walking away. I was about to take off her blindfold when she held my hand. Ako naman yung natigilan. Damn.

"Van? It's you right? Ano 'to?" Even her just saying my name makes my heart skip a beat. Seriously, what did she do to me?

I then took off her blindfold and met her questioning eyes. My throat dried up with the sight of her. But I managed to smile.

"Happy Birthday, Era."

Nakatingin lang siya sa'kin. Shocked and teary, but she kept her eyes on me. I got my handkerchief in my pocket and wipe her tears then I led her to the table.

"Ang ganda! How did you prepare all this? At talagang kinuntsaba mo pa yung dalawang bruha ah."

Era look beyond amazed and kept on telling me how beautiful the place is. But she didn't know that she is far more beautiful than what she's seeing right now.

"It is beautiful." I said looking at her. Napatingin tuloy siya sa'kin and even at a dim lighted place, I saw how her cheeks turn bright red. Rewarding.

"Ewan ko sa'yo." she rolled her eyes while smiling.

Fuck. Kailan pa naging hot yung pag irap?

I shook my head. Delikado yung mga naiisip ko. Niyaya ko na siyang kumain.

We talked like usual while having dinner. One thing about Era is that she's not a picky eater. She ate the food with gusto.
