Fateful Departure

Chapter 15

One thing that Sunoo is looking forward, is to study at a place where he can freely maximize his potential. Not only that, but to gain friends as well. To experienced the things he wished to experience before.

Sunoo prepares their breakfast. A simple eggs, toast, coffee, and bacon. Sunghoon made his way to the dining table to eat with the younger boy. As they eat, they started to talk. "Sunny, are you ready for the school?" Sunghoon asked. He knows that Sunoo is an intellectual individual but what worries him the most is the sociability. He just hoped that he can make friends.

"Yeah, I'm all ready. But still I don't know where to go." Sunoo replied in honesty. "Ah, we'll meet Jake and Jay in the school. Actually, you have the same building as Jake is. So I'm gonna have to ask him to go with you." Sunghoon said. He thought that Jake could be the one who would take Sunoo at his class because clearly their buildings are far from each other and it would take so much time bringing Sunoo into his room and going back to his building.

"Yey, I'm gonna have to, thank Jakey for that." Sunoo replied smilingly. Sunghoon could only retort back. "Jakey? You made him a nickname?" He feels jealous. They were clearly close than them. "Yeah, I'm gonna call him Jakey. The name Jakey is cute. Hahaha." Sunoo laughs about what he said.

"Then what about me? Aren't you going to give me a nickname, Sunny?" Sunghoon replied with a bit of envy. Sunoo thought about it for a while. Till he decided. "I'm gonna call you Hoonie. Hahaha." Sunoo said.

Sunoo just teased Sunghoon. "Hoonie, hoonie, hoonie. Hahaha." But clearly the older boy finds it cute. He pinches Sunoo's cheeks. "Stop with the Hoonie, okay. We have to go!" Sunghoon said. After that, they both went out, to head towards the school.

As they arrived at the school, Sunghoon started to walk towards the entrance while Sunoo just followed him behind. Arriving at the campus, they both saw Jake and Jay.

"Hey, Sunoo and Sunghoon. Glad, you're both here." Jake said to them. Sunoo went up to Jake and Jay and hugs them both. "Sunoo, does my friend treats you well?" Jay asked.

"Yeah, he sometimes get's on my nerves but all in all, he's in good condition!" Sunoo replied like he just made a review on a item. "What the hell? Hahaha. Are you making comments about me?" Sunghoon retorted to Sunoo's comments. "Cause you are annoying sometimes! Hahaha." Sunoo replied.

"Glad, that both of you decided to get along." Jake added in the conversation. Jay decided to go first because he has things to do. While the three of them stayed, still talking about things, and catching up.

When the ring bells, students started to scatter away to head in their own classrooms. "Jake, can you please go with Sunoo in his first class? You have the same building as him." Sunghoon asked to Jake. "No, problems. I'll take care of my Sunoo." Jake replies teasingly. Sunghoon didn't paid it attention when Jake said 'My Sunoo'. It's just pointless to make a big deal out of it.

Besides he knows that it's a joke, As they both went to leave, Sunghoon saw Jake holding Sunoo by the shoulders while Sunoo is waving back at him. He just waved back to the younger boy. After they left in his vision, he started to walks towards his building.

"Sunoo, here's your room. I have to go, okay. Just text me, if you need help. I'll see you at dismissal." Jake ruffles Sunoo's head and then heads out. Sunoo just waved goodbye at Jake. He is really grateful someone brought him here. As he goes inside, the anxiety creeps him in. A lot of people were looking at him. He got the attention of all the people in the room.

Sunoo scans his eyes towards the room and founds a vacant seat towards the back. He carefully walks towards a vacant seat. There's already two persons besides his seat. He settled himself and brings out his notebook and pen.

"Hey, I'm Jungwon, what's your name?" The boy in his right said. Sunoo isn't really sociable but this time, he wanna make a difference. He wanna make sure that things would go in his way. He's tired of being an outcast. "Hello, I'm Kim Sunoo. You can call me Sunoo. Nice to meet you Jungwon." Sunoo replied to Jungwon with a little bit of cheerful tone.

"Hey, Sunoo! I'm Heeseung." The guy on his right added in the conversation. It seems like Heeseung heard their conversation. Sunoo feels glad that people were starting to open up. "Hi, Heeseung. Nice to meet you also." Sunoo replied.

"Omg, I'm so glad that I have someone to talk to." Jungwon said. Sunoo smiled at him back and replied. "Same, I've been so anxious about socializing." Jungwon then grabs Sunoo's hands and shakes them. "We're friends now right?" He asked rhetorically.

Sunoo just brightly smiled and replied. "Sure!" Little did they know, Heeseung also wants to include the circle. "Wait, wait! I wanna be friends with the both of you too." Sunoo and Jungwon just laughed at him.

After their conversation, the class just went on. They all have the same classes, so the three of them are probably going to stick together. They went for Aesthetics, Portrait Painting, and History of Arts. As they go on through different classes, the trio just went getting to know each other. It seems like they clicked on each other.

The last class before the break just ended. "Sunoo, where are you going?" Heeseung asked. Not gonna lie, When Heeseung saw Sunoo coming from the front door. He immediately decides to be friend with him. There's something in him that attracts people. "I'd probably, have lunch." Sunoo replies to him. "I'll come with you." Jungwon added in the conversation. Heeseung also decided to go along, so they made their way to the cafeteria.

They went to settle themselves in a vacant table. "I'll buy the food. My treat for the both of you." Heeseung said. Sunoo then immediatedly rejects the offer. "Heeseung, it's okay. I can pay for it." Sunoo said nervously. But Heeseung persuaded them both that it's his treat, so they have no choice but to comply. Heeseung then went to the line to buy food after asking them what they want.

After Heeseung left, Jungwon then interrogates Sunoo. "Hey, Sunoo. It's just been a day, since we met but don't you think Heeseung has a crush on you?" Jungwon asked curiously. One thing that Jungwon is a master of is to be inquisitive and to poke things. He's the type of person who asks so many questions.

"Huh? I don't think so. I mean, he's pretty attractive. He has a good build, and a kind person. But yeah, I don't think he has a crush on me." Sunoo replied. "Hey, you totally described him word for word. Do you like him? Hahahaha." Jungwon asked teasingly. Sunoo just feels flustered by his reply. "No, I don't."

"Anyway, he's coming. Get your shit together." Jungwon said that makes Sunoo laugh. Sunoo just laughed at Jungwon's remarks. Heeseung then walks up to them and puts the tray in the table. "Why are you laughing? Did I miss something?" Heeseung said to them.

Sunoo just shook his head sideways while Jungwon stayed silent. They both acted like they didn't just talked about Heeseung. Then they started to eat. They talked about their interests, and hobbies.
