Fateful Departure

Chapter 17

Today after Sunoo's class. Sunghoon texted Sunoo. "Sunny, I'm here at the car. Come here fast, I have something to tell you." As he reads the message, he bids Heeseung and Jungwon goodbye. "Hey, I'll go now." Sunoo said. Heeseung is about to step in and offer to go with him. "Heeseung, just look after Jungwon and maybe you can drive him home?" Sunoo said to the guy.

Heeseung just nodded in response and Jungwon waved bye to him. Sunoo started to walk towards the parking lot where Sunghoon's car is located. As soon as he got there. He opens the shotgun seat and plops himself.

"Hey, I'm here. what do you wanna tell me?" Sunoo asking the older guy. "We have somewhere to go. I wanna talk there." Sunghoon replied. Sunghoon started to drive. Sunoo isn't aware where they're going, so he just looks at the sceneries outside.

"Where are we going?" Sunoo asked. Sunghoon replies to him. "You'll see." After their conversation, not more than 10 minutes. They arrived in the Central Park. Sunghoon parks the car. "Sunghoon, what about dinner?" Sunoo asked worriedly. Not that he doesn't want to cook but being here will take so much time to get home.

"Don't worry. I got us a buffet!" Sunghoon exclaimed proudly. He grabs something from the passengers seat. "Jollibee!" Sunoo reacted cheerfully. After that, they both just walks to the park. They decided to stroll around before they eat.

As they walks around, Sunghoon opens up about something he really wants to know. "Sunny, are you really friends with Shania?" Sunghoon asked. "Yes, I'm friends with her." He replied to him. "Then how do you know her?" Sunghoon asked. He wanna knows everything. "Ah, I know Shania because of some social group in twitter. You know, when you chat strangers. I'm so glad, Shania reached out to me first." Sunoo replied gratefully. He's really grateful by Shania.

"Then, can you tell me about everything about her?" Sunghoon asked. He is taken aback by the sudden request. I mean, it's his ex-girlfriend, so he probably wants to know everything. It's just that Sunoo's heart is aching by the thought he's still not moving on.

Truth be told, Sunghoon acts so sweet to him, that he might've take it romantically. Considering he doesn't have any romantic experience, only means that it's a foreign feeling to him. When you're overwhelm with such feelings, chances are you take it the wrong way.

Technically, Sunoo is infatuated to Sunghoon. But he's not about to confess nor to reveal everything. He knows where he stands and that's being only a friend. Maybe because a lack of good childhood experiences, and traumatic environment made him easily attached to those persons who takes good care of him.

"Ah, Hoonie. It's really complicated. I don't wanna talk about it. There's a lot to unpack and you might not take it too well, just like Shania." Sunoo replied to the older boy. But the last sentence struck him so hard. Sunghoon thought about it. He badly wanna knows.

"What do you mean by, not taking it well just like Shania? What does it mean?" Sunghoon raised slightly his voice. Sunoo is startled by the fact Sunghoon raised his voice against him. It just shows that he's still attached to the girl.

"Hoonie, I'm sorry but I still can't say everything. I promise, I'll tell you when I'm ready." Sunoo looks down while saying it. He doesn't wanna upset Sunghoon but clearly he isn't ready to spill things.

After their conversation, it got a little bit awkward. They both went home without speaking to each other. Sunghoon just gave the food to Sunoo and goes to his room.

Sunoo went eating at his room alone, tears escaping. Crying about how hard it is to open up things.

The week just went by like that, Sunghoon and Sunoo are still awkward to each other. Both Jake and Jay noticed it but didn't wanna pry it. Jungwon also noticed it. "Sunoo, why did Sunghoon stopped dropping you off here? Is he busy?" Jungwon asked. Sunoo wanted to answer but it's between them both. "Yeah, he's busy." Sunoo replied weakly.

Heeseung just paid it any attention, even he's glad that Sunghoon stopped coming here at their first class to drop Sunoo off. "Don't worry, I'll be with you always." Heeseung added in the conversation.

Truth be told, for the past days. They barely spoke to each other. When they do, it's about studies or about what's the food. Sunghoon even decided to eat outside which only made Sunoo feels bad about himself.

He wishes to share about those things but he still can't. There are things that you need to consider before spilling it. One, the comprehension capacity of the person, Two, the possible reaction of the person, Three, the effects on that person, and lastly, the possible repercussions about sharing things.

Now today is the day of the party. The party that Jay said when they were at the parking lot last week. Sunoo remembered clearly that he decided to come. So he prepares an outfit for the said event. As he's done with that. He decided to talk Sunghoon, hoping that they would get back to normal.

"Hoonie, I'm done picking my clothes." Sunoo said. The older boy faces him and said. "Ah, Sunny. You might have to stay here alone in the unit. I'll just go with Jake and Jay. It might be too much for you." Truthfully, he just wanna avoid Sunoo. He's not upset anymore but still he doesn't know how to clear the air between them.

Sunoo just weakly nodded and goes back to his room. As he started to puts back his clothes. "I'll go now, don't wait for me." Sunghoon said and then left. A tear escaped in his eyes. He wasn't able to suppressed his emotions.

Sunoo then started to continue read the book of Mariah Carey. It's his only means of coping up his sadness. But then in the middle of reading, someone texted him. "Sunoo, what are you doing?" Heeseung texted.

"Nothing, just laying down and reading." Sunoo replied the text and then goes back to reading. He suddenly receives a text again from Heeseung. "Then, would you come with me tonight? There's a party, I'm invited to."

Sunoo thought that since the party he's supposed to come along with Sunghoon got foiled then it's better to go with Heeseung.
"Okay, I'll get dressed now. Just text me if you're in the lobby at hera condo." Sunoo replied back.

Instead of wearing the clothes he picked earlier, he chose a different set of clothes. He wanted to become different today. Instead of a shirt and a pants. He wore a a grey short sleeve polo with a black trouser pants. He also decided to put moisturizer and cream into his face.

He used mascara to amplify his lashes and lip balm to give radiance to his lips. Even he used a little bit of blush. Sunoo only do this when he wants to glam up. He normally wouldn't do this but it's a party. He must look good and make a good impression.

He just hates those people who shames in using these products. There's literally no harm in using make-up. Unless you're going to let it stay under your skin for the whole night. He knows that it's meant to enhance the physical features of a person and probably can help their confidence.

Sunoo then receives a text. "I'm here at the lobby. I'm waiting for you." Heeseung texted. After reading the text message, Sunoo looks at his face in the mirror and left with a little bit of a smile.

As he walks towards the lobby, he saw Heeseung using his phone. "Heeseung!" Sunoo calls him out. As soon as Heeseung faces and looks at Sunoo. His eyes bawled out. He wasn't expecting this fine specimen, to even evolve into a greater specimen.

Sunoo walks up to him. "Hey, let's go?" Heeseung just stared at him from below to the top. "Wow!" He exclaimed in surprise. "You look different. Sunoo." Heeseung added.

"Nah, please. Don't flatter me. I only did minor adjustments." Sunoo replied to the boy. "No, you already look great but today is something different." Heeseung said to Sunoo.

Heeseung's heart skipped a beat, assuming that Sunoo dressed up for him. He wanna convinced himself that Sunoo prepared this look only for him. He would never fail to complement this person.

"Thank you! Heeseung." Sunoo replied with a great cheerful tone. It's what his weakness, compliments! Heeseung then holds Sunoo's hands and guides him towards his car.

Heeseung open's the shotgun seat and Sunoo carefully gets in. Then Heeseung decided to get in and started to drive on the way to the party.
