Fateful Departure

Chapter 22

Since they stayed up late for the study session, both of them got late for the class. They started cramming things and left the unit without eating.

"This is all your fault! Why do you have to stay at my room and teased me yesterday!" He irritatedly exclaimed.

Sunghoon glanced at him, evident on his face that he's really annoyed. He doesn't want to anger the younger boy more, so he decided to just sped up driving.

"We didn't eat breakfast. Sunny. Let's grab drivethru first before going to school." He said gently. But then that only made the younger boy agitated.

"Hoonie, let's just go. Okay! I'm late, you're late, we're late!" Sunoo replied with an anger tone.

When they arrived, Sunoo went on a full-sprint going towards the gate. But then Sunghoon hastily went after him. He grabbed his hands. "Why are you like this? I just suggested breakfast, why do you need to be angry about it."

Sunoo faces him. He's not angry nor does resent Sunghoon. It's just that he was slightly annoyed. "I'm sorry but you won't feel what I feel right now because you're not a scholar student. My school bills are paid because of my grade and if it falters then who's going support me?" He said.

Sunghoon gasped about what he said. I mean, it's true that he is a scholar student and they need to maintain grades. He wasn't really expecting Sunoo to make it a big deal.

The younger boy sprints towards his classroom. The teacher already is there, so Sunoo tiptoed on the floor in order to not get caught.

"Why are you late?" Jungwon asking him. Sunoo is still catching his breath, after sprinting like a flash. After a minute or two.
He answers. "We woke up late."

"It's our quiz today, did you bring your quiz material?" Heeseung asked. Sunoo suddenly realizes something. He might or might not brought it. As he checks his bag, he found out he left it at the unit.

His eyes began to water, and his mood got ruined. He hates himself for forgetting the most important thing today. He didn't even eat breakfast. How could he possibly go to the unit when it would take so much time.

"Guys, I left my quiz material! What should I do." Sunoo said in almost a crying manner. He wanna shouts at himself for waking up late. But then he doesn't wanna seriously blame Sunghoon because they both stayed late yesterday. He just said those words out of annoyance.

"Can you get it right now?" Jungwon asked. He feels bad about Sunoo not having a quiz material. It's needed to take the test. The teacher won't accept students who did not bring their materials.

"No, I can't miss any class today. I still have to take my breakfast at lunch, So I can't go out." Sunoo replied.

"Then can you ask Sunghoon?" Jungwon suggested. It was the only thing that would solve his problem.

"No, we kinda fought earlier. I'm so mad at myself for lashing out at him, even though his intentions has always been good." Sunoo replied.

"I'll get it Sunoo. I have a car. It'll be fast." Heeseung added in the conversation. He badly wants the younger boy to take the exam.

"No, Heeseung. Just stay here. I'll trouble you a lot and besides you don't know where it is." Sunoo stopped the older boy. He doesn't want to dragged him to his problems.

But then little did they know, Jungwon decided to contact Sunghoon about it. "Sunghoon, are you available right now?" He texted.

"Why? Is it something about Sunny?" Sunghoon replied. As soon as he receives Jungwon's text, his heart starts racing. The Sunoo effect is really deep.

"Yeah, his quiz material is left at your unit. He needs it to take the test. He can't go out because he told us he hadn't eaten a breakfast." Jungwon texted.

"Okay, thanks Jungwon. Don't tell him that I'll get it." Sunghoon replies.

Sunghoon was about to leave the room. "Sunghoon, where are you going? We have an activity later." His classmate asked.

"I have important thing to do. Just let the teacher know that i'll be taking off early." Sunghoon replied and takes off. He hastily went to the parking lot.

He speedily drove towards the unit. But unluckily, there is a massive congestion on the road. He could only curse at the sudden timing. "Fuck! Of all the times, why does the traffic need to be now!" Sunghoon exclaimed annoyed.

After like an hour, he sprints towards the elevator. Then he goes up. When he got in, he goes to Sunoo's room. He starts to find the quiz material. He already knows what's it looks like. He just needed to find it.

But even after searching through drawers, closet, or even the corners. He just can't seem to find it. It's like a 20 minutes since he started to search. So he goes out to drink water to cool his head. He started to pour water from the pitcher into the glass.

When he drinks the glass and turns around, there he saw the quiz material. Laid out in the couch. He just sighed in annoyance. He can't believe he searched through his room for more like 20 minutes, only to find out it's in the couch very visible.

After drinking water, he picks it up and goes down towards the parking lot. When he got in his car, he starts to drive at the mc donald's driver thru. He can't help but to signed in defeat. The drive thru has a long line of customers.

But then he can't just leave because that would mean, he would take a long u-turn. So he waited for like 15 minutes until his time to order a food.
