Fateful Departure

Chapter 18

When they arrived at the party, Heeseung holds Sunoo's hands. There are lots of people and they might get separated to each other. Looking at the entrance, it is really a party in college.

Loud music, neutral designs, waiters carrying the drinks, people dancing, and extreme lights. Those are the things he noticed when he stepped in the house.

"Heeseung, it's my first time going to the party. Please, don't leave me." Sunoo said to the guy. Heeseung is even more happier, at least Sunoo would get to experience his first with him.

"Don't worry, I'll stay with you through out the party." He whispered. Heeseung just holds Sunoo's hand and makes their way to a table. Knowing he's with Sunoo, he isn't going away without him.

As they settled themselves in the table, a lot of people are actually eyeing Sunoo. Heeseung can only worried that he brought an eye-catcher.

The loud music erupted and people dancing on the stage. There were few people who are drunk but all in all, the vibes great. Heeseung decided to take this opportunity to talk to Sunoo alone. He badly wants some quality time with his crush.

"Sunoo, do you drink?" Heeseung asked. The younger boy shook his head. He never drank any liquor in his entire life. This might be the first time. But Heeseung is not about to force him, if he doesn't want. He is merely asking and offering.

"Would you like to drink? or not? Don't worry, I have high alcohol tolerance and I'll drive you home. " Heeseung said to Sunoo.
"Just a little bit." Sunoo replied. Heeseung then went to get their drinks.

Not more than a few seconds, a girl came up to him. "Hi cutie, do you have any girlfriend?" The girl asked. "I don't have anyone." Sunoo replied weakly. The girl wouldn't leave her alone. "Then do you mind me getting to know with you?" The girl asked.

"I'm actually with someone." Sunoo said with conviction. He's afraid of what would Heeseung think about this. I mean, he was only invited and it would be rude knowing he personally ask Heeseung to stay with him throughout the party.

The girl took the rejection. "Ah, what a waste. It's just that you're my type. Anyway, nice meeting you. Cutie." The girl replied and then walks away.

Not more than a few minutes, a guy also walks up to him. He's kinda hot. "Hi, I'm Jacob. I saw you and couldn't keep my eyes off you." Jacob said to Sunoo. But clearly, Sunoo is a sucker for compliments. He really is.

"Woah, thank you. Jacob. I'm Sunoo, by the way." Sunoo replied to the guy. He's clearly good-looking. But he isn't dumb enough to trust anyone here besides Heeseung. You never know what a stranger can do. Always be wary of people.

Jacob is about to sit beside Sunoo, when Heeseung interrupted him. "Hey, buddy. That's my seat." Heeseung said with an irritated tone. The guy gets up but still didn't left.

"I'm sorry but I actually want to talk to him." Jacob said with a force tone. Heeseung did not back down. It is his moment to hangout with Sunoo alone and nobody is going to ruin it for him.

"What-" Heeseung did not finished his words when Jacob asked. "Is he your boyfriend?" Jacob asking Sunoo with a mocking tone. Sunoo wasn't able to answer immediately because he's getting uncomfortable about the situation.

"Yes, he's my boyfriend and now go fucking scram away!" Heeseung replied with intent. Gladly, Jacob went his way and left. Sunoo just sighed deeply. "Did he scare you?" Heeseung said while cupping Sunoo's face.

Sunoo just mouthed 'A little' in response. Then they started drinking. A light drink for the both of them. "Hey, why did you entertain him?" Heeseung asked.

"Ah, I was startled by his compliment. Truthfully, I'm a sucker for compliments. Hahahah. Please don't judge me." Sunoo replied laughing. This wasn't a joke. Any type of compliments makes Sunoo flutters.

"So you like compliments?" Heeseung asked while staring at him. Sunoo grabs the drink and drinks it. He just nodded in response. He wasn't sure how Heeseung would react upon finding his weakness.

"Then, I'll compliment you all night!" Heeseung said with conviction. Sunoo could only ask what he meant by that. But as Heeseung finishes his liquor. He started complimenting Sunoo.

"Sunoo, you're so pretty. you're so cute! I like your cheeks, ears, your smile, your eyes, your nose, your laugh, your vibes, and you." Heeseung said the last word weakly. He wasn't stupid enough to know that this is going too fast and he might overwhelm Sunoo if he decided to go all in.

When Sunoo heard those compliments. He started to laugh. He just can't help it. Heeseung is too hilarious tonight. "Heeseung, I'm gonna hit you, if you're telling it to me just to make me feel good. Hahahaha." Sunoo replied.

Heeseung then cups Sunoo's face and told him. "No, that's the last thing, I would do to you, Sunoo. All of it is true." Heeseung said that in a gentle tone. Like a lover who is trying to console his agitate lover.

Sunoo is overwhelmed with such emotions decided to hug Heeseung. He's really grateful to have him as a friend. He's so happy that he got to meet with Jungwon and Heeseung. "Thank you, Hee. I'm gonna call you Hee from now on." Sunoo replied while hugging Heeseung.

After their conversation, they continued to drink. They just started talking about silly things. Until someone came up to them. "Sunoo? Why are you here? I thought you're not coming." Jake said in surprised tone.

"Hi Jakey! Heeseung brought me here. I never thought that we have the same party. Hahaha." Sunoo replied. You can see that the liquor is in effect already. But he's not yet drunk.

"Sunoo! Glad you made it here, thought you wouldn't coming. Sunghoon actually told us you won't." Jay said in disbelief. He wasn't sure why Sunghoon would prohibit Sunoo to attend when the plan is already made.

Sunoo just hugged Jay and Jake. Probably his actions are influenced by alcohol. Both of them went ot sit at them. Jay talks to Heeseung while Jake talks to Sunoo.

"Hey, you look so cute tonight! What made you dressed up?" Jake asked. He seriously finds Sunoo extra pretty and extra cute today. He wasn't going to fail to compliment this rare specimen.

Sunoo just laugh and whispered to him. "Because I'm Kim Sunoo. I was born to be cute and pretty." Jake's ears got red, after hearing that. His body got fire'd up after hearing Sunoo's voice in a dangerous space.

"Sunoo, you're playing a dangerous game. Hahaha. Don't ever whisper to someone else other than your friends alright. They might think you're flirting." Jake said to the younger guy. He still can't move on by the hotness erupted in his voice.

Sunoo nodded in response and drinks the liquor in the table. Jake then proceeds to ask. "Don't you wanna find Sunghoon?"
Sunoo's ears perked up. He remembered their interaction earlier. So he just replied. "Where?"

Jake then points towards the corner. There he saw Sunghoon talking to girls. Clearly, enjoying the party. Looking at Sunghoon, Sunoo's heart is slowly crushed. He doesn't know what is it but it's the inevitable truth.

"Ah, I'm gonna stay here. He's busy talking to a lot of people and besides I'll just embarrassed myself there." Sunoo fake laughs. He just wanted to go home at this point and lay in bed.

But then Jay decided to go back where they came from. "Sunoo, Heeseung, we'll go first. Enjoy the party and please Heeseung, take Sunoo in the condo safely. Brought him here, responsible for him." Jay and Jake just bid them farewell and left.

After looking at the corner, Sunoo's eyes shifted towards the opposite. He doesn't want to see Sunghoon. So he faces Heeseung and continues to talk about silly things.
