Also, "Cogeris carissimos te occidere" litterelly means "You shall be forced to kill those dearest to you" in Latin. Well, that's what Google translate said.
I do not own or have any rights to BBC Merlin, if I did then Merther and Morgwen would have ✨ happened ✨
(And Uther would have accepted em)~Still in the forrest village thingy, with that Alex kid~
I can't help but worry for Guinevere.. when she took off like that, she looked injured. She was limping with gritted teeth, groaning with each and every step. She looked weak, but like she was on a mission. To leave. Was she mad at me for bringing her here? Did she not know how to get home? Is..is this all my fault? Have the other been hurting her for taking their jobs of making clothes? Oh no..
~The next morning in the castle~
The future king interrupted his father's meeting that morning by forcing himself past the guards and into the throne room. Honestly; he though of doing it more often just to see the look of pure shock and anger plastered across him face. He immediately told a servant sitting off to the side to escort him out, but Arthur told the young boy to stay seated. Surprisingly, he did. He clearly respected Arthur more then he did the king, which was practically treason in his father's eyes, so he sent him to a cell where we would stay until he had thought about his punishment.
"I need a search party sent out immediately to look for Guinevere, Morgana's serving girl." Demanded the soon-to-be-king.
"And what makes you think you have the right to interrupt my meeting with such unimportant matters?" Was the cold response he was met with. 'How long will it take him to get over himself?'
"I have the right because I'm the prince and there is a missing person who needs to be found immediately!"
"This missing person you speak of is nothing but a mere servant. It most likely ran away."
Arthur wanted to slap him because how DARE this man have the sheer NERVE to call Gwen an 'it'? Disrespect was laced into the King's words as he practically spat onto the yellowed parchment Infront of him as he spoke. The young blonde had to think out his next words carefully- to anger his father even more would be foolish, even a child could tell you that.
"Father, I do not think it wise to leave her out in the forrest all alone. She knows a lot about Camelot and our future plans, as well as a lot about Morgana. If she was found by Cendred's men or bandits, the information could and most likely would be tortured out of her. She may even tell them if she thinks we have given up on her," he chooses the wiser option. He doesn't even want to think about what the consequences would have been for shouting at his father in the company of the court, along with Gaius and Uther's most trusted advisors.
~Back with Guinevere~
All Gwen could see was high windows which seemed to stretch for miles, with what looked to be thin pieces of wall in-between. The light shining in her eyes was almost blinding, and everything seemed blurry, like it was only half there. Then again, how would she know how much of it was there, she could barley see ten feet above her head.
'I wouldn't be able to see if an army of three thousand rats was storming at me from half a mile away...'
It was a terrifying experience from the start, but it didn't come close to fear and panic which coursed through her veins when she heard a voice, low and deep, bellow through the hall. She was suddenly very aware of the lack of freedom she had here. Chained up, on the floor, in a ripped and dirty dress from the Forrest and the... transformations.
That's right, transformations. You didn't read it wrong- Gwen had been cursed. By a sour old woman who lived on the outskirts of Alex's small village. Driven by jealously, she had raised her hand to the younger lady and shouted a terrible spell. "Cogeris carissimos te occidere!" Was all that came from the witches mouth, her voice shaking and cracking like a frightened child about to cry after waking from a terrible nightmare. The only option she had was to scream, knowing that nobody would hear her, hoping that her death would atleast be quick, painless. But alas, her wished where unheard by the lady fate as she was cursed to change each night, forced to damage homes beyond repair. To terrify children so much that they may never leave their homes again.
She didn't want to do this anymore. To be hurt like this anymore. To.. hurt others anymore. They would see a "wild beast" coming and throw things at her- sticks, stones, knives and daggers, bows (that's said boys for ages ‼️😭) and spears, the whole lot. Once she even had an axe putt through her skull. Well... Everything was bones. (Picture at the top, yes that is Death from Harry Potter, it will make sense soon) All dark bones, with a cloak draped over them. She was freakishly skinny and 9foot tall. She towered over quite a few of the homes in the small village, something she didn't like. She wanted to be herself again; to be human, but she couldn't. She wanted to be able to knock on the door and explain who and/or what she was, but that would never happen. They would attempt to kill her as soon as they lay eyes on her, so it was no use.
And just like that, she was back to wandering the Forrest aimlessly. She received word that the curse would be gone the next day, over night. What was strange about it is that a bird brought it to her. It was a beautiful, midnight black Raven, but what made it even stranger was it's eyes. They seemed to hold a wisdom unlike any other... Even more then Gaius, who was one of the oldest people she knew. Infact, she didn't actually know how old he was, so he could possibly be the oldest.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed it <3
I go back to school tomorrow, and I probably won't be able to write on the way to or from school because of the rain so I will probably be putting out another chapter every few days or so :)Start time: 01/11/21, 12:06pm
