Of the 10 years you spent in Camp Half-Blood, what were the most important lessons you learned?
(The entire question wouldn't fit in the title).
Shoutout to @flameshine19 for voting and commenting and being the first not anonymous question!!! Thank you so much. Sorry for the delay, I was really busy. I hope you enjoy this!
This is actually the hardest question I've gotten. First off, I can't believe it's been 10 years. And second, way too many lessons. I don't know... maybe...
Hmm... what do you mean? Like hard lessons? Things I learned the hard way like "people can betray you" and stuff like that? Or literal lessons? I'll go with the second one since that one makes more sense but I'll add another chapter to this if it's not what you meant...
I think one of the most important things was actually some survival course Grover gave once. I thought it was silly at the time but I found it very helpful and maybe even life-saving when I traveled under the caverns of Rome looking for the Mark of Athena.
This lesson was:
First step - scan your surroundings for immediate threats
Second step - Take inventory
Third step - Stay put and await rescue
I'll admit that last part didn't help me but I think the first two steps did help a little so I think it qualifies as one of my most important lessons.
More important was maybe all those knife-fighting classes... swords and knives and all that. Those classes DEFINITELY helped a lot. I would have died fifty gazillion times over if not for my ability to work a blade. You can't kill monsters and you will die if you don't know how to fight (especially if not with a sword / spear / javelin / dagger, etc.
Rope climbing also saved my life a few times. I remember thinking about how --- during the lesson --- "rope climbing will never help me survive" and then it did. So that was pretty important as well.
Hmm... what else... it's sort of hard to know what to include. A ton of things were important...
Monster assault techniques was a nice class. Definitely helped me many times.
And myth classes where you'd learn more greek myths. Knowing your mythology and your monsters and mainly how to defeat these monsters (as was once done) will save you as well.
And capture the flag is a sort of two in one. Fun and important for survival, etc.
And I think that's going to be it.
There have still been no dares. Again, if anyone dares me, it can be about anything --- start a game of truth or dare with your friends from Camp Half-Blood, sneak into Brooklyn House to surprise Carter and Sadie, try to bond with my little brothers (through my dad's side), ask Magnus to sneak into Valhalla --- are just some examples. You can dare me whatever, whenever and I will post your dare. However, if you want to ask me a question or for advice instead, I am here as well. You can dare / ask right here in the comments, by private messaging, or by commenting on my profile page. Do whatever you're most comfortable with. If you'd like to be anonymous, I recommend private messaging. I am @TheMagicPen-ItsAlive if that's what you need.
Remember to vote and comment. Please keep reading and recommend to all your friends. Thanks again for the FIRST not anonymous question. Again, another shoutout to @flameshine19. Feel free to ask more questions or for advice or to dare me. Again, thank you. I hope you enjoy this.
